On Friday, July 5, 2019, Yoshiyuki Tomino, General Director, was invited to the 20th Japan Expo (Paris, France), where the finally completed theater version of "Gundam G Reconguista I" and "Go! Core Fighter" were screened for the first time in the world.

The venue was filled with fans from all over the world who had been eagerly waiting for Director Tomino and the theater version of "Gundam G Reconguista".
Before the screening, the director made the following comments to the fans gathered at the venue.

The title "G Reconguista" has the word "Gundam" attached to it, but it is basically a work that has nothing to do with "Gundam. Therefore, people who knew the work called "Gundam" hated it, saying that they could not understand it. However, for those who do not know this type of animation at all, it gained some popularity when it was on air.
Also, in Japan, it was only aired late at night, so I don't feel that it was released to the public. But, as I said, it gained the support of some young people, so I decided to make a film version of it, and today we are finally able to show it here for the first time. So, I would like to ask those of you who are here to please promote the film to your children so that they will see it.
And as is the custom here, we are obliged to talk with the producers when they come to the venue like this. However, as I said before, "G no Reconguista" is a completely new type of work, so I would like you to watch it first, and then we will have time for questions.
So I will say this up front.
Adults don't need to enjoy it, but please enjoy watching it through the eyes of your children."

When Director Tomino said this, the audience applauded as if their expectations were rising, and the theater version of "Gundam G Reconguista" was finally screened for the first time in the world. After the screening, the audience gave a standing ovation and enthusiastically welcomed Director Tomino back to the stage.
