Commemorating the fifth anniversary of the service, "Sword Dance - Honmaru Expo - 2020" opens today, January 5, 2020 (Sunday) at Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, Tokyo!

The official exhibition event "Sword Dance - Honmaru Expo - 2020" has started to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the release of the PC browser & smartphone application game "Sword Dance - ONLINE-". The event will be held at Sunshine City (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) from today, January 5 (Sun) to January 19 (Sun), 2020.

The "Sword Dance: Honmaru Expo" is an official exhibition event that was held in five major cities in Japan in 2017 on the occasion of the second anniversary of the release of "Sword Dance: ONLINE-".

This year, the event will be held for the first time in three years, and the content has been further enhanced. Each room will have its own theme, and a variety of exhibits will be held, including the game, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, as well as anime, stage, musicals, movies, and other media mix developments.

■Entrance

The rooms are decorated with swordsmen in kneeling and standing postures, as well as a 1/100 diorama of the "Toaru Honmaru" space, which was created for the Honmaru Expo. The "Serious Sword Room" includes a recently discovered tachi sword with Gojo Kuninaga's inscription. Other special exhibits are planned to commemorate the fifth anniversary.

A talk event commemorating the fifth anniversary of "Toukendanbu-ONLINE-" is scheduled for January 11 (Sat.) from 19:00 at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City ALPA B1 Fountain Square.

In the exhibition hall, visitors will be welcomed by rooms with various themes, including the original game, anime, stage, musical, movie, and other media mixes.

Exhibition Information

■The Room of Thanksgiving

A hanging scroll displaying the kneeling posture of the swordsmiths as an expression of gratitude for the fifth anniversary and their daily work is displayed in this room.
*The swordsmiths on display will be up to Kuwana-e, which will be implemented in September 2019. From January 5 to 13, 2020, the appearance will be in accordance with the game at the time of the fourth anniversary, and from January 14 to 19, 2020, it will be in accordance with the game at the time of the fifth anniversary.
*There will be no exhibition using visuals of the "extreme" form.

A Certain Honmaru Room

A 1/100 diorama of the "Toaru Honmaru" space created for the Honmaru Expo.

Uchiban no Ma (Room of Uchiban)

A photo spot will be set up with the image of Uchiban (horse duty, field duty, and teiawase).

Room of Seriousness

Three pieces of "ken" are on display: "Restored Mikazuki Munechika Shin," "Hotarumaru dedicated to Aso Shrine," and "Tachi Mei Kuninaga.

Media Mix Room

The contents of media mix development such as animation, stage, musicals, and movies will be exhibited.

Willow Room

Exhibit of "Your Honmaru Willow" selected by lottery, which was solicited on the official website.
This is a special participatory project only available at the Tokyo venue.

Locus Room

A timeline of the five-year history of "Sword Dance" will be displayed.

The 5th Anniversary Grand Celebration Painting Room

A 4m wide and 2.2m long large visual of all the sword fighters will be displayed to commemorate the 5th anniversary of "Touken Ranbu-ONLINE-" service.
The display will feature 81 swordsmen in all, up to Kuwana-e.
