Focus on corporate booths that show the momentum of Chinese content! Introducing the beautiful cosplayers who appeared on the second day of "Comic Market 97" [2019/12/28-31].

Comic Market 97 (C97), the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition, was held at Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo, from December 28 to 31, 2019.

This year, in addition to the plaza where people could freely enjoy cosplay, corporate cosplayers gathered in the West Exhibition Hall, which is lined with corporate exhibition booths every year, and in the booths in the Aomi Exhibition Hall, which was newly established in 2019. Because cosplayers were scattered throughout the area, it was necessary to use shuttle buses or trains to get from one place to another.

The Tokyo Fashion Town Building (TFT Building) was also made available for cosplayers to use as changing rooms for this year's event, but due to the unexpectedly large number of people using the building, the changing rooms were temporarily overcrowded. Many cosplayers were unable to leave the plaza until around 14:00.

Despite such happenings, a cosplay photo session was held at the booth of "Yostar," known for the smartphone game "Azur Lane," etc. On the corporate booth floor in the Qinghai Exhibition Hall, Moe Iori, who has more than 2.1 million followers on SNS, held a photo session at the "Square Enix" booth. In addition, seven popular cosplayers, including Enako and Ayaki Miyamoto, appeared at the booth of Movic, which produces and sells goods and collaborated with "Nekopara," an anime based on the game. This year, in particular, there were so many cosplayers appearing at the corporate booths that, if they were not good enough, the booth was filled with more cosplayers than could be photographed in one day.

There was one more thing that caught my attention. Chinese game titles such as "Azur Lane" and "Ark Knights," which have been increasing in number year after year, were even more popular this year. In Japan, there are often one or two cosplayers appearing at corporate booths, but at the booth of the aforementioned Chinese title, there were around seven corporate companions appearing every day. In China, the number of cosplayers appearing at corporate booths is large and growing. At this year's Comiket, it seemed as if such a trend is gradually approaching Japan.

Here are some photos of cosplayers on the second day of the Comic Market, focusing on the corporate booths. Enjoy the beginning of the year with this photo report of the cosplayers who colored the Winter Comic Market in the first year of the 2022 calendar year.
