⇒Winter 2020 Anime Summary

4 anime of particular interest! The 4 most popular!

I'll die if my guess goes to Budokan!

Even if it's not "Budokan," everyone must have had some kind of desire for their "guesses." ...... is a place where you can find a lot of anime titles that you can relate to as an otaku. As an otaku, I can relate to the title of this work, "I'll die if my "guess" goes to the Budokan," which has finally been made into an anime!

In 2017, "The 3rd Next Comic Award" comics category, which included "The Promised Neverland" and "Dr. Stone," which will be adapted into an anime in 2019, won a number of prizes. The time has finally come for this work, which was ranked 11th in that category.

The main character is Eripiyo (CV. Fayrouz Ai), a passionate otaku who devotes her life to the members of a minor underground idol group, ChamJam. Kumasa (CV. Tomoaki Maeno) and Motoi (CV. Shosei Yamatani), Eri-Piyo's fellow dol otaku, also make appearances, and she even declares, "If one day Mai-Na (Eri-Piyo's favorite member, CV. Hina Tachibana) stands on the Budokan stage...I'd die! This describes her strong feelings for her guesses, to the extent that she asserts, "I'd die! In the story, there are many points of sympathy, such as the fact that it is okay if your guess does not like you as long as you do not hate her, the pain of her saltiness, and the inability to collect random photos of her, which you can "get it" and "totally understand" every time you turn the page of the original story.

The unit ChamJam in the original manga is in charge of the OP theme, and a mini album of character songs has already been announced, making the music aspect of this work a must-see.

The director, Yusuke Yamamoto, says that the themes are "love" and "laughter. In the case of this work, the target is a 3-dimensional idol, but there is surely something here that applies to everyone who loves or supports something or someone!

Hanako-kun, a boy who is bound to the earth

Yahiro Nene (CV. Akari Kito), an occult girl who loves spells and fortune telling, calls up "Hanako-san of the Toilet," one of the Seven Wonders of the school, who is rumored to be able to make any wish come true, in order to fulfill her love life. ...... To her surprise, Hanako-kun (CV. Emi Ogata), a boy wearing a school uniform, appears!

This work is serialized in "Monthly G-Fantasy. Although the title of the story is lined with words reminiscent of a horror story, it is a "heartwarming lavatory comedy" in which Nene lives her school life being pushed around by Hanako-kun, who is a bit naughty, a bit of a devil, and a bit of a S&S. Hanako-kun is a ghost and a bit naughty. His slyness and naughty nature are on full display in the original story as well, from the very first page, or rather, from the cover.

Since the story is based on a school ghost story, it would be a lie to say that it is not scary at all. However, the unique touch of the illustrations is just adorable, and even if you are not a fan of horror, I highly recommend you check out this work." There is also a monster called "Mokke" who does small thefts and mischief near people, which is too cute ......!

The animation is produced by Lerche, which has previously produced "Given" and "Kuzu no Honkai. It is directed by Masaomi Ando, animation producer Yuji Higa, and the rest of the production staff are all ghost story lovers.

The opening theme song is "No.7" by Jishibai Shonen Band (Takashi Ikuta x Sayoshi Oishi x ZiNG), and the ending theme song is "Tiny Light" by Akari Kito!

■pet

The psychic human drama "pet," which was adapted for the stage in 2018 and 2019 prior to its anime adaptation, will also begin its anime broadcast in January 2020. Produced by Geno Studio, which has written "Slaughterhouse Organ" and "Golden Kamui," among other works with a profound worldview, director Takahiro Omori (of the "Durarara!" series, "Durarara! Natsume Yuujinchou" series, etc.) has been eagerly awaiting the visualization of this work for more than 10 years.

The main character, Hiroki, is played by Keisuke Ueda, an actor active in 2.5 dimensional works, etc., who continues to play the role from the stage version. Noriaki Taniyama, who plays Tsukasa, is a big fan of the original author, Ranjo Miyake, making this a long-awaited anime adaptation for both fans and the production team.

The worldview of "pet" is a bit more complex than the one introduced in this article, and many unfamiliar words are used in the story for the first time. Mr. Ueda also had difficulty inputting this into the stage adaptation, but he said, "It is definitely easier to understand in the anime," and we recommend that those who are experiencing this worldview for the first time take a look at this anime.

Hiroki and Tsukasa are "pets" who have the ability to enter the memories of others by taking the form of "images" such as goldfish and water. Because of their ability to manipulate memories, they are feared and looked down upon. For Hiroki, who cannot shape his own memories, Tsukasa is his "mountain parent" who has shared his memories with him, and the two are bound by a special bond. ......

I just want to be with you.

The Company, an underworld organization, mercilessly takes advantage of their humble wish and plays with them. What will be the outcome of their twisted bond? We hope you will witness their way of life with your own eyes!

■Laughing on the Runway

This manga is serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" and the storyline is similar to that of a classic boys' manga, but the two men's single-minded pursuit of their dream of a career in the fashion industry will surely appeal to women as well!

The heroine, Chiyuki Fujito (CV. Yumiri Hanamori), is a 158 cm tall high school girl who aspires to become a Paris Collection model. Although she has a good style, the average height of the Paris Collection models she aspires to be is about 179 cm, and she is told by those around her to give up on her dream because of her short stature, but she continues to pursue her dream. Chiyuki meets her classmate Ikuto Miyakomura (CV. Natsuki Hanae), who was about to give up his dream of becoming a fashion designer in order to support his family. This encounter greatly changed the path the two would take together.

Will Chiyuki be able to walk the runway at the Paris Collection? Can Ikuto become a fashion designer? ...... will be touched by the girls as they continue to pursue their dreams in the face of adversity.

You can hear a little bit of both in the second PV now on view, and the theme song, performed by two fresh artists who sing anime songs, is also of interest!

The opening theme song is "LION" by 18-year-old singer-songwriter Sakaguchi Kakashi. His first anime tie-up is a bright and refreshing song, created in collaboration with Ryo Eguchi, the creator of many anime songs including LiSA's "Kourenka". The ending theme is "Ray of Light" by Jaejoong, who made his first attempt at an anime song with "Zoids Wild" in 2018. It is a ballad that gently pushes your back.
