Animelo Summer Live" (hereafter, "Anisama"), the world's largest anime song event that brings together the top artists in the anime song world, will celebrate its 15th anniversary this summer with "Animelo Summer Live 2019 -STORY-" (hereafter, "Anisama 2019").

To commemorate this anniversary year of Anisama, Akiba Research Institute takes a year-by-year playback of past Anisamas!

Let's get excited about "Anisama 2019," which will be held over three days on August 30, 31, and September 1, 2019, by having anime and anime song writers who also participated in those Anisamas talk about their memories of them!

So, the 9th edition of "Animelo Summer Live 2013 -FLAG NINE-" was the first time it was held over three days, and we felt the flow of a new era!

Kenichi Chiba, who witnessed all three days of the live performance on site, will be in charge of this issue.

Anisama" started in 2005, and after being held for one day (2005-2007) and two days (2008-2012), it was held for three days for the first time in 2013, and both the number of artists and the number of songs performed increased further. The medley was counted as one song. In 2012, there were 40 groups with 78 artists performing 86 songs (including special appearances and guests; medleys were counted as one song; theme songs were counted for each day), while in 2013, there were 62 groups with 134 artists performing 128 songs. The number of spectators reached a record high of 81,000 in total.

The theme of Anisama 2013 was "FLAG NINE. The theme was a flag signaling a new development (flag), which is typical of Anisama, the flag-bearer of the anisong scene and the top runner of anisong festivals. The theme song is "The Galaxy Express 999. The theme song is "The Galaxy Express 999," a classic anime song that everyone knows, arranged by Masahide Sakuma, a great music producer who has created the Japanese music scene. This was the first time that a song arranged from an existing song became the theme song.

The fact that the festival was held over three days was impressive in that it allowed each day to have its own unique characteristics and personality, depending on how you look at it. It goes without saying that the event was not just about the volume, but also about the unexpected chemical changes brought about by the various combinations and the development of stages that could only be seen at this event.

On the first day of the live, following the "singer x lyricist" collaboration of Minori Chihara and Arika Takarano, the "weekend heroine" girls unit Momoiro Clover Z ( Momoiro Clover Z ("Momoiro Clover"). The girls always give their all on stage and entertain the audience with three songs including "Moonlight Legend. As Momo Kuro left the stage, the clock on the screen turned 12 o'clock, and it was time for THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS to step out of the production and perform their theme song. The first performer ZAQ, who would later sing the theme song, was followed by Shoko Nakagawa and the "μ's" from the popular "Love Live! The perfection of the "µ's" group was even better than last year, when they performed for the first time, and their synchronization with the anime was unparalleled.

The surprise was Shoko Nakagawa's collaboration with NoB, the vocalist of MAKE-UP who sang the original "Pegasus Fantasy ver.Ω." It was a dreamy combination of the old and new microcosms (cosmo).

Immediately after, Momo Kuro performed "Kinnikuman Go Fight!" in collaboration with Akira Kushida. Moreover, the center stage was transformed into a ring, and Mr. Kushida and Momo Kuro's superheroes entered the ring on the song "Spinning Toe-Hold. Although it was the first time for NoB and Kushida to perform at "Anisama," they both kept the audience enthralled with their tokusatsu songs with their powerful voices on the solo stage.

Among the other first-time performers, the highlight of the first half of the show was FLOW, who performed "DAYS," "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA," "GO! and "GO!!!! What was most impressive was their powerful performance that brought the audience on board and united the venue as one. They said, "Anisama is awesome," but I am sure everyone thought, "FLOW is really awesome.

Anime song artists also gave hot performances. ALI PROJECT, who invited the audience into the mysterious world of "Rozen Maiden," and May'n's "Sagittarius☆9 p.m. Don't be late," which was sung in the year of the 30th anniversary of "Macross," were powerful and piercing to the heart.

On the second day as well, each artist enlivened the audience from the beginning of the show. Ai Nakajima surprisingly performed at "Anisama" for the first time. Looking back, it was a precious stage appearance before she went on a music hiatus, and there were tears in her eyes as she sang "Arigatou (Thank you)" to express her feelings for the five years since her debut.

The generation-transcending collaboration mentioned earlier was one of the most impressive scenes on the second day. Masayuki Yamamoto finally appeared at "Anisama" and sang "Kengyaku Yippatu Man" and "Yatterman no Uta" with Nanamorichu☆Gouraubu and Afilia Saga, and the scene where everyone posed as Yatterman was very moving.

The biggest surprise of Anisama 2013 was the surprise appearance of Anna Tsuchiya on the second day of the event. Personally, I could not believe my eyes. She sang "rose" and "Switch On!" amidst a roar of excitement in the audience, and it was so cool that I was instantly drawn into the show. It made me realize once again that anime songs have no barriers and are wonderful. From there, LiSA and GRANRODEO's raging last spurt was just so hot.

If I had to give a very personal point to the second day of the festival, I would say that the "Aiurabu," with its crab headgear, was not to be missed. In addition to the slightly surreal and fun stage itself, the cast members Yui Nakajima, Tomoko Iida, and Nao Tamura were the focus of attention. This was their debut work and first main role in a TV anime, and they are currently active in "Tokyo 7th Sisterz," "THE iDOLM@STER" series, "HUGt! Pretty Cure," etc., and in that sense, this is a valuable stage for them. Incidentally, not only the aforementioned "Cinderella Girls" but also "THE iDOLM@STER Million Stars" made their first appearance at "Anisama" on the second day, showing their solid presence.

Anisama welcomes voice actor units born from anime and many new artists, so it is interesting to look back and discover that there were actually some great people who performed at the event. For example, Uesaka Sumire, who started her career as an artist this year and showed her world without regret in her first appearance at "Anisama," was one of the most impressive performers.

Tatsuo Suzuki, who performed at the first "Anisama 2005," appeared as OLDCODEX. fripSide also returned to fulfill a promise made two years ago. angela sang at the "Keyaki Plaza" outside the Saitama Super Arena 10 years ago. The episode of angela singing at the "Keyaki Plaza" outside the Saitama Super Arena 10 years ago was also heartwarming.

The third day of the live featured a strong lineup of voice actors, reflecting the trend in the ani-song scene of more voice actors debuting as solo artists in addition to their works as a unit. and Yui Ogura also made her first solo appearance.

A superb collaboration between Nana Mizuki and Mamoru Miyano started from the opening. The medley of the two outstanding singers singing "Orfe" and "SCARLET KNIGHT" was a highlight of the show. From there, various voice-over artists took the stage one after another. The performances were of high quality and showed the full appeal of their individuality and expressiveness.

Following Kanako Ito, a talented singer, the last performer of the first half of the event was Hiroaki Tominaga TOMMY, who has extraordinary singing ability and voice, and Coda, who was a surprise. The JOJO combo of "Jojo: The Fate of Its Blood" and "BLOODY STREAM" was too hot, I was shibi there! It was a "shibi" moment.

Toward the end of the last day, the lineup of Mamoru Miyano, Sphere, Yukari Tamura, and Nana Mizuki was so intense that one could shiver just looking at the lineup. Mizuki, who did not perform last year, closed out the first three-day event by performing four songs, including "Synchrogazer" as the grand finale, as a top artist in the anisong world both in name and reality.

In 2013, with its 10th anniversary coming up the following year, the festival took on the challenge of holding the event for the first time over three days, and set the flag for a new era and new possibilities and the breadth of nostalgia for anime songs.
