The anime is based on the light novel by Omorifuji, which has sold more than 12 million copies in total. Illustrated by Yasudasuhito and published by GA Bunko (SB Creative), the first TV anime season aired in spring 2015, followed by an OVA in 2016, an outside story in spring 2017, and a movie version in February 2019.

─ ─ The TV anime of "Danmachi" will start airing after 4 years. What are your thoughts on the current situation?

Matsuoka: I have had such an intense Danmachi life for four years that I don't even feel that four years have passed, mainly because of Danmemo (laughs).
(laughs) With Orion's Arrow, we had another chance to communicate with each other in postrecording.
I was able to dispel my anxiety about what would happen if I did postrecording for the first time in four years. I am very glad that I was able to dispel my anxiety about how it would be after four years of postrecording!　The timeline of Orion's Arrow is also between the first and second seasons.

Mizuse: I was only 19 years old when I auditioned. At the time, I had little experience with such a high-tension character, and I remember I was in a very groping state during the audition. I am very honored to have had the opportunity to continue playing Hestia from then until this day. Thank you so much to all the fans and staff!

Hosoya: I thought that four years have already passed. It seems like it was a long time ago.

Akasaki: It's been four years since I last worked on an anime, but I've been recording DANMEMO regularly, so it doesn't feel like it's been that long.
After all, it's fun to record while talking with everyone!

Onishi: Over the past four years, I have had regular opportunities to play the role of Ize, such as in the Gaiden, the movie version, and the app game, but now that the TV series "Danmachi" is in its second season, I am determined to give it my all again!

Matsuoka: This time, the story is quite hard.
It will be a story of growing up mentally gutsy.
I can't be my old self anymore!　Belle!　Go on!　Don't bother!　You're a child!　That's the story.

Mizuse: It's a straightforward heroic story. I get goosebumps every time I read the simple yet careful descriptions of growth and battles. And the colorful characters from an angle never seen before! LOL!
They are quite strong!

Hosoya: I think it is a story drawn by kind people.
That's what you can feel.

Akasaki: The characters who stir up the story are very strong.
