Hiroko Moriguchi, who has sung many hit songs for the Gundam series, has released a music video of "Ai wo Hoshi e Ai wo Komete," the theme song of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, " performed with Naoko Terai, a world-class jazz violinist.
The music video of "Ai wo Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" (With Love to the Water Star), in which Hiroko Moriguchi performs with Naoko Terai, a jazz violinist active on the world stage, was previewed on GYAO!
The song was released in 1985 as the opening theme song for the anime "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" and became Hiroko Moriguchi's debut song! All Gundam Grand Vote," ranked No. 1 among 361 Gundam songs of all time by a public vote. The song won the title of No. 1 Gundam song approved by the public.
And as one of the projects for the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam," the album "Gundam Song Covers," in which Moriguchi covers all the top 10 songs ranked in this program and covers himself, will be released on August 7. This song will be included as the first song on the album.
Naoko Terai, who made her professional debut in 1988, has received numerous awards including the "Art Encouragement Prize of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology", the "Japan Gold Disc Award Jazz Album of the Year", the "Nanri Fumio Award", and the "Jazz Disc Award", and has been active on the world stage. A jazz violinist who has been a friend of Ms. Moriguchi's for some time.
