The original anime by P.A.WORKS, "TENHARUHAKUHAN! will air in April 2020. Information on the main characters and cast has also been released.

Tenharuhanran! is set in America, where the 19th century has ended and the curtain is rising on the 20th century. The story is about a genius engineer "Tenharu Kuuno" and a cowardly samurai "Kozame Isshiki" who drifted from Japan to America due to an accident.

The staff consists of Masakazu Hashimoto, director of "TARI TARI" and "Crayon Shin-chan Honeymoon Hurricane: The Lost Hiroshi," manga artist Anton Shiku, character designer and chief animation director Yurie Daito, and P.A. WORKS will be in charge of animation production P.A.WORKS will be in charge of animation production.

Information on the main cast was also released. Natsuki Hanae will play the role of Tenharu Kuuno, Seiichiro Yamashita will play the role of Kozure Isshiki, Aoi Yuuki will play the role of Hototo, a Native American boy, Ten Amamiya will play the role of Jin Sharen, a female racer, Soma Saito will play Al Lyon, a young man from Europe who came to participate in the race, and Tomiko Orikasa will play Sophia Taylor, Al's caretaker. Sophia Taylor, Al's caretaker, is played by Fumiko Orikasa.

Character Information

Sorano Appare (CV: Hanae Natsuki)

A 19-year-old young man who grew up in a rural port town. He has been interested in machines since he was a child and taught himself to create his own original mecha. He is a mechanical genius with a clear mind, but he has no social skills. Once he starts tinkering with machines, he loses sight of his surroundings, working day and night, then suddenly falling asleep as if his batteries had run out. This makes him a constant source of trouble for Isshiki.

Isshiki Kosame (CV: Seiichiro Yamashita)

A low-ranking official from the same hometown as Tenharu, Isshiki is 21 years old. His mother died when he was young, and he lives with his elderly father and younger sister, making him a handy man who does everything from cooking to laundry to cleaning. In contrast to Tenharu, he is a sensible man who cares about what others think. He is often pushed around by Tenharu, but even so, he has a caring side that he will not leave alone. He believes that his father's bride, whom he has not yet met, is beautiful.

Hottoto (CV: Yuuki Aoi)

A proud Native American boy. While traveling alone on a quest for revenge, he meets Tenharu and his friends. He is mature for his age and hates being treated like a child. He is not afraid to fight even against adults to protect what is important to him. He has acquired the wisdom to survive in the wild, and is able to obtain food and water and make his own weapons. He respects Tenharu, who lives an upright life without pandering to the world.

Jin Sharen (CV. Amemiya Ten)

The only female racer in the transcontinental race. Her parents are Chinese immigrants, and her family owns a dry-cleaning business. She started working as a scullery maid for a racing team because of her strong desire to become a racer, but because she is a woman, she is not even given a chance, and she spends her days in agony. When she meets Tenharu, she remembers her dream of becoming a racer, which she had almost given up. She has secretly honed her driving technique and is a master of kung-fu, which her father trained her in.

Al Leon (CV: Souma Saito)

A 19-year-old young man from Europe. As a representative of BNW, an automobile company run by his family, he participates in a transcontinental race. He is of aristocratic descent and uses his wealth and power to have top-of-the-line cars built. His insanity is as strong as Tenharu's, but he has a strong sense of justice. He is a versatile young man who can drive a racing car, play the violin, play fencing, play golf, and do just about anything else.

Sophia Taylor (CV. Tomiko Orikasa)

A kind-hearted woman who is hired as Al's caretaker. She and Al have known each other since childhood and are like sister and brother. She sometimes casually puts the brakes on the free-spirited Al. She is surprisingly active, curious, and has an unfashionable personality. She wishes Al to win the race, but more than that, she always prays for Al and his friends to return home safely.
