Announced details of "Mobile Police Patlabor 30th Anniversary Exhibition - 30th HEADGEAR EXHIBITION" Tokyo ACT.2!

The "Mobile Police Patlabor 30th Anniversary Exhibition - 30th HEADGEAR EXHIBITION featuring EARLY DAYS - PATLABOR THE MOVIE - in Tokyo ACT.2" will be held at Ikebukuro Marui from January 18, 2020 (Fri) to February 2, 2020 (Sun). The details were announced.

The first OVA (original video animation) series of "Mobile Police Patlabor" started in April 1988. Since then, the series has been developed in a variety of media, including manga, novels, and video games, in addition to an animated theater series, TV series, and a new OVA series.

The 30th anniversary commemorative exhibition [ACT.1] held at Yurakucho Marui from December 20, 2019, is the "BORN" version, so to speak, which shows various materials from which "Mobile Police Patlabor the Movie" was born from the old OVA (EARLY DAYS) series.
The " Mobile Police Patlabor 30th Anniversary Exhibition - 30th HEADGEAR EXHIBITION" will be held! Unpublished original drawings and setting materials will also be exhibited!


This time, "Mobile Police Patlabor 30th Anniversary Exhibition - 30th HEADGEAR EXHIBITION featuring EARLY DAYS - PATLABOR THE MOVIE - in Tokyo ACT.2" will be held from January 18, 2020 (Fri) to February 2, 2020 (Sun) at Ikebukuro Marui. will feature illustrations and rough sketches that appeared in anime magazines and MOOKS during the OVA-THE MOVIE period, package illustrations for LD, DVD, Blu-ray, etc., as well as cover illustrations of the manga version to celebrate the release of "Patlabor The Movie".


In addition, updated three-dimensional sculptures that were well received at the 2018 Ikebukuro Marui exhibition and the 2019 Osaka ATC exhibition will also be on display. The theme of the Ikebukuro Marui exhibition can be said to be the "LIVE" version where the story and characters have continued to live on supported by fans.

Contents of the exhibition
The exhibition includes magazine illustrations from the OVA-The Movie period drawn by Akemi Takada, illustrations of related packages, and illustrations and rough sketches drawn in the 2000s. Also on display will be an illustration by Yukio Tachibanada, who used an airbrush to draw the impressive Type Zero in "Mobile Police Patlabor the Movie," and who drew the illustration for Osaka ATC's "30th Anniversary Exhibition.

In commemoration of the manga "Aizou-ban Kikudou Keisatsu Patlabor" by Masami Yuki, which went on sale in November 2019, cover illustrations of Sunday Comics and Wide Edition, MOOKS-drawn illustrations and rough sketches of the OVA-The Movie period will be on display.

Admission until 30 minutes before closing time.
Admission: 800 yen including tax, free for junior high school students and younger
*Admission fee will be discounted by 100 yen to 700 yen including tax if you have a Yurakucho Marui exhibition admission ticket. (One ticket is valid for one person.)
*Free admission to the merchandise sales area.


Admission on January 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.)
Due to expected congestion on January 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), shuffle admission will be implemented.
Please line up next to the front entrance of Ikebukuro Marui at the following times on each day.
Shuffle drawing will be held for those in line as soon as the numbered tickets are ready.
One numbered ticket will be handed out per person, and each ticket entitles the holder to one admission to the exhibition and one billing for merchandise sales.
