A 1/48 scale finished model of "Swordfish II," the favorite plane of Spike Spiegel, the main character of the TV anime "Cowboy Bebop," is born!

Good Smile Company will release a 1/48th scale finished product of "Swordfish II," the favorite aircraft of Spike Spiegel, the main character of the TV anime "Cowboy Bebop," and today, July 17, 2019 (Wednesday), the pre-order started.

Cowboy Bebop," which aired on TV from 1998 to 1999, is an anime work set in a future solar system that depicts the exploits of Spike, a bounty hunter who travels through space in pursuit of criminals with a bounty on their head. The work has a unique worldview with a hard-boiled touch, but also includes elements of action and slapstick comedy, and is widely known for the variety of genres of background music created by composer Yoko Kanno, making it a popular work with a strong fan base both in Japan and abroad. In September, the film version of "Cowboy Bebop: Heaven's Door" was also released. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the film, a superb sound screening was held in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, in August 2018, and in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, in October 2018. This time, from "Cowboy Bebop," a 1/48 scale finished model of the main character Spike Spiegel's favorite plane "Swordfish II" was born!

The form, gimmick, and aging process of the Swordfish II, as well as its mechanical design supervised by Kimitoshi Yamane, have been fully reproduced to create a full-spec memorial model with all the charm of the Swordfish II.

Size: approx. 36 cm in length and 30 cm in width.
Reproduction of various gimmicks ... folding main wings, landing gear stowage and deployment, auxiliary wing swivel, plasma cannon swivel and extension/retraction, engine air brake open/close, cockpit unit detachable, canopy open/close, passenger figure included, dedicated pedestal included.

Maintenance hatch deployment state can be reproduced with replacement. Material is ABS, alloy parts are used in some parts, including the landing legs.

Reproduce the surface treatment of the characteristic fuselage damage, dirt, etc..

Built-in LED lights and engine nozzle emit light (LR44 batteries x 3 included for testing).
