Arc System Works announced that CODE SHIFTER, a title that brings together characters from its flagship titles, will be released on January 30, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, Nitendo Switch, and Steam. It will be available exclusively for download and priced at 2,000 yen (tax included).

Code Shifter" is a 2D action game featuring characters from 25 famous Arc System Works titles, including "Guilty Gear," "BlazBlue," and "Kuniookun. With "master-up" (completion of the game) scheduled for next month, everyone at game company Awesome Rainbow Corporation encounters an unidentified bug. Stella, a programmer, introduces a "code shifter," a program she has been developing for some time that cures the bug. Through "Sera," the avatar inherent in the code shifter, the player takes on the challenge of investigating the cause of the bug.

Players move Sera, transforming into various characters represented by dots, as they conquer the stages. There are 30 playable characters and 70 support characters. The game also includes "Colorful Fighters," an action game in which up to four players can battle against each other.

This is a slightly mysterious story that took place in the game company "Awesome Rainbow Corp.
