Kazutoshi Sakurai's comment (original text)
I remember clearly. When I was in the fourth grade, my parents bought me Doraemon.
When I went home and lay down on the bed in my room, I found the first five volumes neatly lined up on a small shelf above my head. I received them with mixed feelings.

Because at the time, I was a child who never studied. I never did my homework. I could not write Kanji characters, and I had never read a book. Naturally, the numbers on my report card were filled with 1s and 2s except for physical education.

I am sure that my parents, unable to bear to see this, wanted to tell me to study hard. But my parents knew that I would never study hard, so they didn't say, "Do your homework," or "Read your books," but rather, "Let's start from here. Yes, Doraemon.

I caught that complicated parental sentiment as a child, and felt like I had nowhere to run, so for a while I looked at the numbers 1 to 5 on the spine without reading or opening the book.

Like a wary cat when given a toy, I opened Doraemon with trepidation about three days later, and then lost myself in it. It was my first time reading a book. The first book I fell in love with. The first book that moved me to tears. Since then, the numbers on the spines of the books have been increasing, and there are more Doraemon books than I can fit on the shelves. Until I met music in the summer of junior high school.

In truth, there are episodes with Doraemon after that that are related to the formation of my personality, but it's a long story, so I'll stop here. I am truly grateful for this fateful reunion in the year of Doraemon's 50th anniversary and my 50th birthday. I was able to be involved with Doraemon through music, chewing on the thought that "the existence of Doraemon, the story, and the project itself" were there for me, just like Doraemon was for Nobita, and that they were there for my weak and pathetic self.

Please definitely watch the movie.
Please listen to it.
