For 7 days, you can enjoy animator Hidenori Matsubara's original works! Sakura Taisen - Hidenori Matsubara Original Drawings Exhibition" will be held in Tokyo and Osaka!

Art Collection House announced that "Sakura Taisen - Hidenori Matsubara Original Art Exhibition" will be held at venues in Tokyo and Osaka for a total of seven days.

Hidenori Matsubara is a leading Japanese animator, illustrator, and character designer who has been involved in numerous works including the "Sakura Taisen" series, the "Oh My Goddess" anime series, the "Evangelion" series, and "In This Corner of the World".

The "Sakura Taisen - Hidenori Matsubara Original Drawings Exhibition" will bring together about 30 original drawings that Mr. Matsubara has worked on for a long time.

In addition to the unique and dynamic works that can only be seen here and that can be enjoyed at close range, this exhibition will also feature the first-ever presentation of Mr. Matsubara's newly-drawn prints. With the exception of a few pieces, the exhibited works are also available for purchase.

In previous years, the event was held for one day only, but in order to allow more people to enjoy it, it will be held for a total of seven days in Tokyo (August 9 (Fri.)-12 (Mon., national holiday)) and Osaka (September 6 (Fri.)-8 (Sun.)).

Following the "Sakura Taisen Art Festival 2018 Plus" in spring 2019, Hidenori Matsubara, the creator of the exhibited works, will visit the exhibition venue for a talk show and autograph session.
The talk show by Mr. Matsubara has been a very popular event every year as a rare opportunity to hear about the secret stories behind the creation of the works.
The talk show is open to all visitors. The autograph session after the talk show is only open to those with a numbered ticket for the autograph session. Numbered tickets for the autograph session will be distributed to the first 100 people who purchase "Sakura Wars Original Goods" sold at the venue for 1,500 yen or more including tax, or who purchase prints.
