Is Mimori the character you've always wanted to play? The results of the "Suzuko Mimori Happy Birthday Character Popularity Poll" are announced!

The official voting project "Character Popularity Poll in Commemoration of Happy Birthday Suzuko Mimori", which was held on Akiba Research Institute from June 28, 2019 to July 8, 2019, has closed. Here are the results.

Suzuko Mimori is one of the most popular young voice actors in the recent anime voice acting world. Originally a stage actor, Suzuko Mimori is known not only for her voice acting but also for her singing and dancing performances, and is a member of the voice acting unit "Milky Holmes" and "μ's" of Love Live! She is also a member of the voice acting unit "Milky Holmes" and the "μ's" of "Love Live! In the "Girls' Opera Revue Starlight," she played a central role in singing and dancing in both the anime and stage productions. In April 2019, she announced her marriage to pro-wrestler Kazuchika Okada, which made her fans very sad ...... or even happy, as it is still fresh in our memories.

What do Akiba Research Institute users think of Suzuko Mimori's representative character? The top 10 are as follows.

The winner of the first place was "Love Live," which is one of the representative works of the "School idol project," and it was a clear winner! School idol project. School idol project! School idol project. She is one of the central characters in the work, and is a so-called "honor student" type young lady. Many of the characters played by Ms. Mimori are this type of neat and tidy young lady (usually with long hair), and Sonoda Umi is just such a character.

The second place goes to Togo Mimori from "Yuki Yuna wa Yusha wa Yusha de Aru". Mimori Togo is the best friend of the main character, Yuki Yuna, and is characterized by the fact that she rides in a wheelchair. She is also the daughter of a famous family. She is usually polite and quiet, but once in a battle, she is a brave warrior who calmly supports Yuna and her friends from behind with her bow. One place further down the list, Hikari Kagura from "Girls' Revue Revue Starlight" (No. 4) is a similar character, playing the role of a calm, high-achieving, beautiful girl; Oichi from "Nobunaga's Ninja" (No. 6), Mukonori Furuya from "YuruYuri" (No. 9), and Neiko Fujinomiya from "#" are also basically in this line. I guess so. These mysterious, beautiful girls are probably a good match for Mimori's voice and other qualities. It is not surprising that both of these characters were selected for the top ranking.

A character somewhat different from these cool-headed young ladies is Nanami Momozono, the protagonist of "Kami wa Hajimemashita" (It Began with God), who came in third. In a sense, Nanami Momozono could be classified as a young lady, but she is not what one would call a "young lady," as she is suddenly deprived of her house and becomes extremely poor, and then begins to live at the Mikage shrine. She is a bit of a screw-up and lively girl, as is typical of protagonists in shoujo manga, but she is also a beloved character who shows glimpses of a maternal and sweet maidenly side. This role is another example of Mimori's strong performance.

Suzu of "RINNE of the Boundary," which came in fifth place, is another unusual role in a sense. She is the daughter of a black cat tribe dressed in Gothic Lolita fashion, and she is a toxic character who does not fit into any of the above characters. It is fair to say that she is quite an odd character among the characters played by Mimori, and perhaps that is why she had such a strong impact on the audience.

Finally, Sherlock Sherrinford of "Milky Holmes" appears at No. 7. Milky Holmes" was, in a sense, the work that launched Mr. Mimori's career as a voice actor, and he has been involved with it for nearly 10 years, including as part of a voice acting unit. This may be due to the fact that the work is somewhat old and has lost some of its impact. Incidentally, although this character is generally regarded as an "idiot child," Suzu of "RINNE on the border" and Pikupikku of "gdgd Fairies" (No. 8) are characters in a similar vein, and in this area, Mimori's voice acting career may be said to be of a rather comedic, outlandish vein. In this case, it could be said that Mr. Mimori's voice acting career has been in the direction of comedy.

As you can see, the main stream lady and young lady characters played by Ms. Mimori still dominated the list, but the fact that some of the more outlandish characters also made the top 10 also shows the fans' commitment (?) to their characters. The result also shows the fans' persistence (?) in the fact that some relatively outlandish characters also made the top 10.
