Adventure Stage

Yoroi Island
In the first installment, "The Lost Island of Armor," the main character heads to a new stage called "Yoroi Island" in the Garal region.

Yoroi Island is a huge isolated island floating in the sea, with sandy beaches lapped by waves, forests, marshlands, limestone caves, sand dunes, and other natural features never seen before in the Galal region.

The island is home to a large number of Pokémon, which live in a spacious natural environment.

There is also a certain Pokemon battle dojo. The main character apprentices himself to a Pokémon trainer who is the master of the dojo and trains with Pokémon.

Crowned Snowfield

In the second installment, "Crowned Snowfield," the setting is the Kammuri Setsuen, where snow is falling and the landscape is silvery white.

In this extremely cold region with steep snow-capped mountains, people live in small villages, huddled together.

The protagonist is appointed by a certain person as the leader of an expedition team in "Kammuri Setsugen.

He goes to investigate various places, such as snow fields with blizzards and inside "Pokémon nests," which until now could only be accessed through Max Raid Battles.

Newly discovered Pokémon

Legendary Pokémon
Legendary Pokémon appearing in "Isle of Armor" and "Crowned Snowfield" are introduced here.

The first "Isle of Armor" features "Dakuma," which lives in an area far from the Galal region. The main character and Dakuma engage in friendly competition and training together.

Dakuma
Classification: Constitutional Pokémon
Type:Kakuto
Height:0.6m
Weight:12.0 kg
Characteristics:Psychokinesis

Training Enthusiast and Serious Nature
This Pokémon is a serious natured Pokémon that works hard at training its mind and body. When it loses a battle, it is inspired to train more diligently and gain strength.
It has an organ in its lower abdomen that produces "Kakuto Energy," and through its unique breathing techniques and improved concentration, it amplifies its energy and takes on the challenge of battle.

...Dwells in distant mountainous regions
Although Dakuma's main habitat is the mountainous regions far from the Galal region, it was once a Pokémon that lived in the Galal region. According to a passage in a history book, Dakuma often traveled with people to uncharted areas for trading and exploration, and those that became wild during their travels settled in the mountainous regions.

Dakmas evolve into "ulaos" through training. The "Ulaos" have two forms, the "Ichigeki no kata" and the "Rengeki no kata," and seem to have different "kata" and types.

■Ulaos (Ichigeki no Katata)
Classification: Constitutional Pokémon
Type:Kakuto, Aku
Height: 1.9 m
Weight:105.0 kg
Characteristics:Fukashi no fist

Relentless Strike
It likes to fight without mercy, and when it is enraged, it will hunt down its opponents without regard and thoroughly beat them to the ground. Characterized by its linear movements, it instantly dives into the opponent's bosom from a distance and strikes a powerful blow.

■Ulaos (Rengeki no Katachi)
Classification: Constitutional Pokémon
Type:Kakuto, Water
Height:1.9m
Weight:105.0 kg
Characteristics:fist of a blowfish

A series of furious moves
Calm and collected, it fights by dodging the hostility of its opponents, exploring their condition and gauging their strength. During battle, it uses a gentle, water-like motion to overpower its opponents with a series of furious techniques while parrying their moves.

Dakuma evolves into either "Uraos (Ichigeki no Katachi)" or "Uraos (Rengeki no Katachi)".
Which one it evolves into depends on the selection made in the game. There is no change depending on the software used.

Ulaos (Ichigeki no Katata) and Ulaos (Rengeki no Katata) also have a Kyodaimax form.

Woolaos (Ichigeki no Katata, Kyodimax form)
Classification: Constitutional Pokémon
Type:Kakuto, Aku
Height: 29.0m~.
Weight: ????? ?kg
Characteristics:Fist of Fury

Rage that wells up
With a yelping expression, it is said by people to be "the incarnation of anger" or "a messenger of God who dispels evil demons in the world by his anger.

Ulaos (Rengeki-no-kata, Kyodaimax-no-sagata)
Classification: Constitutional Pokémon
Type:Kakuto, Mizu
Height: 26.0m~.
Weight: ????? ?kg
Characteristics:Fist of Fubuki

Anger hidden within
It is poised quietly with a somber look on its face. Some people seem to be intensely upset because they feel as if they have been seen into the depths of their hearts, while others feel as if they have been purified of their evil demons.

The above images are not from the game.

The second "Crowned Snowfield" will feature a Budrex, which will adorn the "Expansion Pass" package.

■Badrex
Classification:King Pokémon
Type:Espheric, Wedge
Height:1.1m
Weight:7.7 kg
Characteristics:Tenderness

Proud leader
In ancient times, this Pokémon ruled the entire Garal region. It may look slender and petite, but its behavior is graceful and dignified. It has extremely high intelligence and is said to be able to see past, present, and future events.

■The first partners' kyodaimaxed appearance is revealed.

In "Isle of Armor," it appears that some Pokémon who were adventuring together will have the opportunity to don the Kyodimax. In conjunction with this, the "Kyodaimax form" of Gorilander, Aceburn, and Inteleon, the evolved forms of the first partners in "Pokémon Sword and Shield," have been revealed.

■Gorilander (Kyodimax form)
Classification:Drummer Pokémon
Type:Weed
Height: 28.0 m~.
Weight: ????? ?kg
Characteristics:Cinch

Forest drum
The "stump drum" has grown so rapidly that it has transformed itself into what looks like a forest. Gorilander (in the form of Kyodaimax), becoming one with the "forest drum," gains power, manipulates the "stick" as if it were an arm, and performs superb drumming techniques.

Drum beats that transcend the oceans
Driven by the power that surges through them, the drummers are immersed in their drum play with single-minded devotion. His drum beats echo across the sea to other regions. It is said that those who hear it are controlled by the rhythm that wells up from deep within their bodies, causing them to dance wildly.

■Ace Burn (Kyodaimax form)
Classification:Striker
Pokémon Type:Hot
Height: 27.0 m~.
Weight: ????? ?kg
Characteristics:Magic

Kyodai Flame Ball
Due to the power of Kyodai Max, the flame ball at its feet has changed very much. When kicked with the Ace Burn (a form of Kyodai Max) technique, its fighting spirit carries over to the ball, as if it has a will of its own, and it drives the opponent away.

Outstanding Leg Strength
Ace Byrne (in the form of KYODAIMAX) boasts superior leg strength.
Even if it didn't have the Kyodai Flame Ball at its feet, Aceburn's kicking technique, which makes use of the Pokémon's greatest leg strength, is so strong that it can outstrip other Dymax Pokémon.

■Inteleon (Kyodai Max form)
Classification:Agent
Pokémon Type: Water
Height: 40.0 m~.
Weight: ????? ?kg
Characteristics:Sharp current

Towering long tail
Through the Kyodaimax, it has acquired an extremely long tail. It is said to be as long as 40 meters, and during the Kyodimax, it extends vertically like a pillar and sits on top of it, ready for battle. With its lucid mind, it performs astonishing sniping by calculating the descent of the ballistic trajectory due to gravity.

Enhanced Concealed Functions
The Inteleon has a variety of hidden functions in its body, but its capabilities have also been enhanced. The blink membranes in both eyes can now detect not only the distance to the target, but also the temperature, air pressure, and humidity. Sniping accuracy is also extremely high, to the point that it can easily shoot through a rolling kinematic device at a distance of 15 km.

New Region Form Pokémon

The Galal region is home to "Region Form" Pokémon that have adapted to the region's unique environment and look different from those in other regions. These Pokémon are called "Garal Forms" and have different ecology from the previously discovered forms.

Name: Yadon (Garal form)
Classification: Dumb Pokémon
Type:Esper
Height: 1.2 m
Weight:36.0 kg
Characteristics:predatory/my pace

The enchanting spice "Garanut
In the past, the yadons of the Galar region enjoyed eating the seeds of plants that grew in clusters in their habitat. These seeds are called "garanatu" and are one of the essential spices for cooking. Yadongs continued to accumulate its ingredients in their bodies from generation to generation, giving them their own unique appearance and abilities.

...Spend your days in a daze
Yadongs spend their days lying by the seashore or riverside without thinking. They sometimes give a sharp look, but soon return to a dumbfounded expression. This is thought to be because the accumulated "garanatu" component stimulates their brains and sparks something extraordinary, but they forget it in an instant.

Yadon (in Galal form) will evolve into Yadoran (in Galal form) with the tools available in the first "Isle of Armor" and into Yadokin (in Galal form) with the tools available in the second "Crowned Snowfield".

Pokémon that did not appear in "Pokémon Sword and Shield" also appear one after another.

In "Yoroi Island" and "Kanmuri Setsugen," there are many Pokémon that did not appear in "Pokémon Sword and Shield. The game is full of encounters with unique Pokémon, including newly discovered legendary Pokémon, Pokémon in region form, and Pokémon that have been confirmed to live in other regions.

In addition, a free update to "Pokémon Sword and Shield" will be available on the day the game is released. Two updates are scheduled to coincide with the release of "The Lost Island of Armor" and "The Crowned Snowfield," and those who do not have an "Expansion Pass" will be able to obtain new Pokémon that will appear in "The Lost Island of Armor" and "The Crowned Snowfield" through communication exchanges and other means.
Pokemon from previous "Pokemon" series will also be able to be brought to the "Expansion Pass" via "Pokemon HOME," a cloud service scheduled to launch in February 2020.

*Free update requires an Internet connection.
