A remake over 15 years in the making! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Squad and Red Rescue Squad are combined into one, the Switch "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Squad DX" will be released on March 6!

Pokémon Inc. announced that "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX" for Switch will be released on Friday, March 6, 2020. Both the packaged and downloadable versions will be priced at 6,578 yen (tax included). Reservations are now being taken through a mail-order site.

This title is a remake of "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team" for the Nintendo DS and "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team" for the Game Boy Advance, both of which were released in 2005. One day, the main character is suddenly transported to a world where only Pokémon live, and he himself becomes a Pokémon. He learns from other Pokémon that various incidents are occurring in this world due to natural changes that have begun to occur. The hero forms a rescue team and sets out to help Pokémon in need and to discover the cause of his Pokémon transformation.

As the title "Mystery Dungeon" suggests, this title adopts the system of the "Mystery Dungeon" series created by Spike Chunsoft. In the dungeon where the rescue team led by the player takes on the challenge, everything changes, including the terrain, the location of falling items, and the position of stairs. The battles in the dungeon proceed on a turn-based system, so the player not only has to think about his or her own moves each time, but also understand the enemy's direction of movement and means of attack, and consider several possible moves before making a move.


The graphics have been completely redesigned for the Switch. The world of Pokémon is depicted with the gentle touch of a picture book. The game also features an "Auto Ido" function that automatically explores dungeons, making it easier for those unfamiliar with the "Mystery Dungeon" series to enjoy the game. In addition, thanks to the ability to take up to eight fellow Pokémon with you, you can explore dungeons more consistently.
