Season 2020 of "League of Legends" begins today, January 10! Ranked matches are now playable!

Raiatto Games, LLC, today announced that Season 2020 of the PC online game "League of Legends" ("LoL") began today, January 10, 2020.

LoL" is a popular PC online game that was launched in the U.S. in 2009 and surpassed 100 million monthly active players in September 2016. Players control a character called "Champion," and capture their opponent's position in a five-player versus five-player match format. Because of its highly competitive nature, this title is synonymous with e-sports, and various professional leagues are being held around the world. A teaser movie has been released to coincide with the opening of the game.

■ You can play ranked matches!
The "Ranked Battle," in which players can find out their "LoL" ranks, will also begin. Rank" is an indicator of each player's ability. Players are automatically assigned to one of nine tiers ( ranks) based on the number that increases or decreases as a result of wins and losses.

The nine tiers are Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grand Master, and Challenger.
