DMM GAMES, the Japanese channeling service for "PLAYERUNKNWON'S BATTLEGROUNDS" (hereinafter referred to as "PUBG"), has announced that they are looking for participants for the official tournament "PJSseason4 Phase1 PaR (PUBG) channeling service in Japan.

PUBG" is a battle royale game in which 100 players battle it out in real time on a single vast map until the last man is left standing. It is a big title in the genre, and as of June 2018, the PC, Xbox One, and mobile versions of the game have over 400 million players. The DMM version was also released at the same time as the official PC version was released.

PJS" is the name of the official league in Japan. It consists of two parts: " Grade 1," which is the higher league, and " Grade 2, " which is the lower league. The current tournament is for the right to participate in the "Grade 2" league.

Participants are organized into specific teams and play matches against their opponents. The team with the most points is allowed to advance to the next stage. The process is repeated three times, and the remaining top team is the one that earns the right to compete in the "Grade 2" stage.

Participants will be accepted from July 29, 2019 at 20:00 until August 5, 2019 at 12:00. If you have the skills, consider participating. Details are as follows.

■What is PaR?

The PJS has a two-tiered league system with "Grade 1" for the upper league and "Grade 2" for the lower league.

PaR means "Promotion (advancement)" and "Relegation (demotion)," and is a preliminary round to determine the teams that will participate in PJS Grade 2.

In addition, the number of teams allowed to participate has been expanded from 32 to 64 since PJS Season 3 Phase 1 PaR,

The PJS will be divided into three stages.

▼ 1st stage

The maximum 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups from A to D, each group consisting of 16 teams.

The four groups will play Round 1 to 4 matches in the 1st stage.

At the end of the 1st stage, the top 32 teams from the 64-team total point ranking will be assigned to the two new groups, A and B, starting from first place.

▼ 2nd stage

The two newly assigned groups will play Round 5-8 matches in the 2nd stage.

At the end of the 2nd stage, the top 16 teams will be selected from the total point ranking of the 32 teams.

The 16 teams selected will compete in Round9~12, and at the end of the final stage, the top 4 teams will be selected from the total point ranking of the 16 teams.

The top 4 teams will qualify for Grade 2.

The top 4 teams will qualify for the Grade 2 competition based on their total point ranking at the end of the 16-team round.

Tournament Format

Online Preliminary Round

Maximum number of teams: 64 teams, including all 60 teams (on a first-come, first-served basis) and the 4 teams that hold PJSseason4 Phase1 PaR priority entry rights (season3 Phase2 Grade2 lower ranked 4 teams).

*If some teams waive their priority entry rights, the number of places will be adjusted.

SQUAD matches will be held on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25, 2019, and points will be calculated based on rank and kills.

The top 4 teams in the Final stage will be awarded the right to participate in the PJSseason4 Phase1 Grade2.

*Official distribution will be conducted only for Round 9-12 of the PaR finals.

*The minimum number of teams per group will be 14. If the number of team applications does not meet 64

If the number of teams does not reach 64, the number of participating teams may be limited so that each group will consist of at least 14 teams.

If you win the PaR and compete in Grade 2, you will need to agree to a consent form that we will prepare for you.

For teams that have already been incorporated, we will contact you regarding the agreement once you have been selected to participate in Grade 2.
