The venue was filled with old and new anime songs that never fade away!

As the lights dimmed in the packed venue, from the front rows to the seats at the back of the hall, a lively soundtrack began to flow through the venue. The band members and dancers entered the stage as the audience clapped their hands to the rhythm. While they were stirring up the floor, two members of angela came up to the center of the stage. The colorful costumes emphasized the "festive" atmosphere of the live performance, and "SURVIVE! The audience cheered loudly to the solid guitar riffs by KATSU!

While the venue was shaking to the hard band sound, images from the anime were shown on the screen on the stage, amplifying the image of the song even more. The images were processed in real time by the VJ team, who were overflowing with love for anime, giving the performance a very live feel.

The audience was excited to see such a stage performance! The floor was filled with the glow of red penlights and chants of unity.

Then atsuko called out, "I want everyone to sing! and the audience and angela started to sing along with each other, which suddenly filled the venue with a climax-like excitement.

The following song "KIZUNA" (the ED of the final episode of the anime "K RETURN OF KINGS") did not stop the excitement, and the audience could feel the strong bond between the fans, angela, and the anime work.

During the first MC, atsuko said, "The fans in each place were so passionate during the Asia tour, so I don't want the Japanese fans to lose! That's why I don't want the Japanese fans to lose! Personally, I have not seen a live performance in recent years where the crowd was so excited from the very beginning. I personally have not seen a show with such a high level of excitement from the beginning in recent years. The power of angela fans is unfathomable. ......

I want to do kirafuwa with all angela fans! She waved her pom-poms and danced with the dancers to the song "Kirafuwa" (the ED of the last episode of the anime "Asurakurain 2"). Incidentally, at overseas venues, atsuko was said to have been told "Cute! Overseas Jjerakko, you know what I mean!

Personally, I was impressed by the song "Brilliant road to tomorrow" (OP of the anime "Uchu no Stelvia"), which marked the band's major label debut. When atsuko pointed the microphone to the floor during the chorus, the audience immediately sang in chorus. (Everyone (including myself) was reminded that the song is so well-loved that they can sing it immediately without looking at the lyrics card. The unrestrained call and response and clapping of hands were a scene that could be described as the history of angela itself. Thank you for performing such songs on this stage on this day. I am sure I am not the only one who thought so.

On the other hand, angela also sang songs like "Calling you" (theme song of the movie "BLAME!"), which has an industrial and underground appeal. In this song, KATSU stands in front of the DJ table and plays a deep sound instead of playing the guitar. As soon as the break came, the band members joined in the performance. The performance by atsuko was like that of an avant-garde dancer, creating a very artistic space.

In the face of this overwhelming expression, one is reminded that genre divisions and categorization are meaningless.

On the other hand, the band's depth of experience was evident in their upper-range songs that pushed the band sound to the forefront, such as "Bye Bye Alai" (the theme song for the final episode of the anime "COPPELION") and "Sokyu" (the theme song for the movie version of "Sokyu no Fafner: Heaven and Earth").

In "Bye Bye Alai," the audience swung their arms from side to side in unison in time to the chorus phrase. In "Sokyu," the band sang "Oi, oi! Oi! to the fast beat of "Sokyu," the crowd was as excited as if they were at a rock festival.

That song arranged with strings? That's absurd!

While the excitement had not cooled down, a video of "Soukyu no Fafner RIGHT OF LEFT" was shown on the screen. The movie shows a series of scenes between Ryo and Yuumi at the bottom of the sea at the climax of the movie. Following the sad scene, the song "HATENASHI MUJIKI MONOLOGUE" was performed.

Before I knew it, a string quartet, piano, and percussion were on the circular stage at the center of the stage. Katsu, holding an acoustic guitar, and atsuko in a bright crimson dress were standing by. They sang softly and moved the audience.

The piano was played by Kensuke Hasunuma, Katsu's piano teacher. KATSU was deeply moved by this longed-for master-disciple collaboration, but this was also the first time for Yutaka Mabe, who played the violin, to perform with KATSU in a live concert. Although they had participated in recording sessions for many years, this was the first time they stood on the same stage together. It turned out that for Mabe, it was also "the first time to see KATSU play the guitar.

In the middle part of the live, which was full of firsts for KATSU, with strings, it seemed as if the performance was going to be quiet, but then they performed a ballad "Beginning" (ED of "Shikabanehime Hyaku" and "Shikabanehime Gen" episodes 13-14 and 23-24), followed by "Different colors" (ED of "Shikabanehime Gekijoban" episodes 13-14 and 23-24). colors" (theme song of "K MISSING KINGS the Movie") and "Zenryoku☆Summer!

The warm sound of the stringed instruments seemed to make atsuko's powerful vocals seem more familiar to the audience. The warm sound of the stringed instruments made atsuko's powerful vocals seem even more familiar to the audience.

In "Zenryoku☆Summer!" in particular, the melody of stringed instruments made the enka-like part more dramatic than it needed to be. I am sure I was not the only one who burst out laughing.

And to top it off, the audience enjoyed the call and response of "2021" and "The first year of the new year! and "Gen-nen!" atsuko enjoyed the call and response, and when she finished singing, she asked her partner to agree with her, "You shouldn't lose your freshness, KATSU-san. It was a totally unpredictable string zone, typical of angela, which is constantly evolving and changing.

The last half of the live was a trance-like state with lots of singing and rampaging!

The stringed instrumentalists left the stage and angela returned to the band formation, and as the live entered the second half, a long-awaited new song was performed for the first time live.

The first new song was "THE BEYOND", the OP theme of "Sokyu no Fafner the Beyond" which had started its advance screening in theaters on May 17. It is followed by "Watashi wa soko ni shiru ka?", an image song of "Sokyu no Fafner" series.

THE BEYOND" is a challenging song with hardness and scale typical of "Fafner", but also incorporating Japanese instruments. The PV had already been released, and the call and response to the chorus was perfect! I have a feeling that this song will quickly become a standard for 2021.

The title of the song "Watashi wa koko ni shiru ka?" is full of the "Fafner" worldview. The sound of the song is a hybrid of acoustic and electronic elements with a world music flavor. The phrase "Are you there?" sung in a mumbled voice at the end of the song was impressive.

After the unveiling of the new song, the live performance moved toward the climax of the show.

From "Boku wa boku de boku de ate" (the second OP of the TV series "Ajin") to "BURN" (the ED of the animated film "K SEVEN STORIES Episode 5: Memory of Red - BURN"), the tension of the audience grew stronger with each song. The tension of the audience rose with each song.

Then they sang "Shangri-La" (OP of TV anime "Sokyu no Fafner"), one of their most popular songs and a staple of their live performances, and when atsuko asked the audience to "sing along with them from beginning to end", the audience really started to sing along. Both of them sang off-mic, and atsuko was very busy waving towels and blowing whistles with a big smile on her face.

The excitement reached its climax with the last song of the show, "Sidonia" (OP of the anime "Knights of Sidonia"). The song began with a "Soyuzu kyoho" (salute to all), followed by a "Sidonian knight" (OP of the anime "Knights of Sidonia")! and the chorus of "Knights of Sidonia," which was refrained over and over again, put the audience in a complete trance. The audience was completely in a trance as they sang the refrain of "Knights of Sidonia" over and over again. The audience was enveloped in the greatest sense of unity of the day.

The audience called for an encore, and angela took the stage again. atsuko reflected on the tour and said, "I hope we can sing only anime songs again. Needless to say, there are still plenty of anime songs that have not been performed yet.

The encore started with such expectations for the next show, but not many people were expecting the next song to be performed (or maybe they were expecting it to be performed this time!). ). That song was their first major label debut song, "memories" (OP of the anime "Kami Hakkenden"). After the first encore performance of the original song, they followed with "Sono Toki Sokyu E" (insert song of TV anime "Sokyu no Fafner: EXODUS") and "Exist" (OP of TV anime "Sokyu no Fafner: EXODUS"), two songs suitable for the final climax of the live.

At the end of the live, atsuko received the call and response of "Follow me" and "Follow you" and shouted happily, "Everyone's voice was louder than anywhere else today! she exclaimed happily.

Finally, KATSU revealed that she is currently working on a new project behind the scenes, and added, "Whoever has something left to do in the Heisei era, let's make it come true in 2025! Let's make it come true in 2025! and called out to the Jjelakko. Having survived the turbulent Heisei Era, a time of great change for anime and anime songs, and having left behind countless masterpieces, angela seems to have no plans to stop moving forward.

This live concert was held at the junction of two eras, the Heisei Era and the 2025 Era. In a sense, it was a day for angela to start a new journey, and this tour final may have been held with that determination. What kind of anime songs will they play for us in this new era? The live ended with such expectations.
