Director Mamoru Hosoda's comment on the 4DX version of "Summer Wars" for its January 17 (Fri.) release! Admission gifts will also be distributed!

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of its release in 2019, the still beloved movie "Summer Wars" will open in 4DX version nationwide on Friday, January 17, 2020.

The animated film "Summer Wars" is the first original feature film directed by Studio Map and Mamoru Hosoda, who was nominated for a US Academy Award for "Mirai no Mirai" (2018).
It has been 10 years since its theatrical release in 2009, and various 10th anniversary projects titled "UPDATE" are being implemented.

The animated film "Summer Wars," which continues to be loved even today, will finally be released nationwide in "4DX" on January 17, 2020 (Friday).

In conjunction with the screening of this film, it has been decided that an "original ticket holder for the 4DX version" will be distributed as an admission present.
The front side features King Kazuma and the Love Machine, while the back side is a must-have design for fans to enjoy after seeing the film! The reverse side is a must-have design for fans. (*Gifts will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis and in limited quantities.)

In addition, a comment from director Mamoru Hosoda has arrived in anticipation of the film's release, so be sure to check it out and visit the theater.

The incidents that take place in the real world, the floating sensation of the "virtual world of OZ," and the battle scenes can all be experienced in real life with 4DX.

＜STORY
One summer day, Kenji Koiso, a high school student, is invited by Natsuki, a senior whom he admires, to take a trip with her to the countryside as a "part-time job. Natsuki's parents, the Jinnai family, is a famous family that has existed since the Warring States period, and is a large family with many unique personalities, led by her great-grandmother, Grandma Sakae. Kenji's part-time job was to play the role of Natsuki's fiancée in front of this family. That night, Kenji receives a text message on his cell phone that seems to be a cipher, and being good at mathematics, he stays up all night to figure out the answer. The next morning, the real and virtual worlds of OZ are in turmoil..!
