Event report of the advance screening of "High School Fleet the Movie" on January 12 (Sun.)

(Honorifics omitted.

On January 12 (Sun), an advance screening of the completely new animation "High School Fleet the Movie" was held at United Cinemas Toyosu, which will be released on January 18 (Sat). After the screening, Shiina Natsukawa (Akeno Misaki), Lynn (Mashiro Soya), Atsumi Tanezaki (Mei Nishizaki), and Yurika Kubo (Suzu Shiretoko) took the stage to talk to the audience who had already seen the film.

Speaking about the growth and changes she felt in the movie version, Natsukawa said, "The relationship with Shiro (after the TV anime) has deepened in the movie version. Even in the opening scene, they are portrayed as a married couple (laughs). (Laughs). I think you will be able to see them working together as a couple to solve the various problems of the crew of the Seikaze.

He added, "I don't think that even actual married couples would be like that in the bath scene (laughs)." Looking back on the first episode with Lynn, he smiled and said that he was glad they were able to become a married couple through the TV anime.

Tanesaki said, "I learned for the first time in the movie version that there are places where each of us can and cannot do our jobs (depending on the ship's situation). There was a scene in which Tama-chan, the gunner, was shooting a lot, but Mei-chan couldn't because of a bad angle, and I thought, "That's right. She said she was again impressed by Mei's professionalism, saying, "It's not enough just to be able to shoot.

Kubo also mentioned the increase in the number of characters in the new production, saying, "Inevitably, each character has fewer lines, but I think the characters' personalities come out more deeply because of the smaller number of lines. Of all the characters, Suzu-chan is probably the most intense," he said.

The audience nodded deeply as Tanesaki commented from the viewer's perspective, "Thanks to Suzu-chan, I could tell that she was really in a pinch.

Natsukawa continued, in terms of being in a pinch, "I was in a pinch this time more than any other event that has happened so far. I think the reason I was able to maintain my composure was because I had grown up (through the previous episodes) and had become a friend who could overcome the pinch," she said with deep emotion. In addition, she revealed that while playing Akeno in this production, she realized that she had "grown up.

When asked about memorable scenes and characters in the film, Lynn responded, "The Soya family was so active! There was a scene in the middle of the movie that was so serious that I wondered if it was really a spy movie (laughs). I was impressed by the activities of the cool older sister," she said, referring to the activities of the Soya family as a notable scene.

When the topic of the theme song "Free Turn" by TrySail was brought up, Natsukawa said, "It is a different song from 'High Free Spirits' (the TV anime OP), but I thought again that 'Free Turn' was the right choice for the movie version and the way it ended. I think the lyrics of the song will be very moving if you read the lyrics after watching the movie, so please check it out! Please check it out!

The event concluded with a message from the cast members about the release of the film.

<Introduction> About 100 years ago, the plate was shifted.

About 100 years ago, Japan lost much of its land to submergence due to plate displacement.
The water cities that were built one after another to preserve the land eventually became maritime cities, and with the increase in shipping routes connecting them, "blue mermaids," a profession that protects the safety of the sea, became the dream of schoolgirls.

Akeno Misaki, who has longed to become a "blue mermaid" and enrolls in Yokosuka Girls' Maritime School, is appointed captain of the navigational vessel Harukaze, and participates in ocean training with her classmates. It was supposed to be a safe voyage, just navigating the ship and heading to the destination, but a number of crises await the girls. They overcame many difficulties, such as a sudden firing from a faculty ship, a battle with a runaway student ship, and rescue activities on a salvage ship, and returned safely to land, where they formed a strong bond among the members.

One month after the incident, the Seikaze members, who were enjoying their test vacation, were hit by a new crisis. The Seikaze class is about to be dismantled. The Seikaze members were upset, but they came together as one again, and their bond grew stronger as they prevented the class from being dismantled.

In this way, the members of Seikaze overcame many difficulties and grew up.
What is the new "crisis" that awaits them?

The ship they must protect and the path they must take.
A new story of the girls is about to begin!
