Takuya Kimura appeared as a guest voice actor in "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur"! Surprised, he commented, "Honestly, I still can't believe it.

It was announced that Takuya Kimura will join the theatrical animated film "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur," which will be released on March 6, 2020, as a guest voice actor.

Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur" is the latest in the Doraemon movie series and has a similar title to "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur," the first movie in the series released in 1980, but the story has been changed in this movie to "Nobita meets twin dinosaurs, Kyu and Mu, and searches for his fellow dinosaurs. The story is completely original: "Nobita meets twin dinosaurs Kyu and Mu and adventures to a "mysterious island" in the Cretaceous Period in search of his fellow dinosaurs.

⇒Another theme song for "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's New Dinosaur" is a new song by Mr. Children, "Kimi to Tomoni to Oshita Monologue"!

This time, Mr. Kimura plays a mysterious man named "Jill" who looks like a "monkey" that should not have existed in the Cretaceous Period. He holds secrets about the "mysterious island" and monitors the activities of Nobita and his friends.

Kimura-san's comments on the film are as follows.

Mr. Kimura's comment (in Japanese only)
At first, I thought it was a surprise project, "How would Takuya Kimura react if he were asked to appear in "Doraemon the Movie"? I was so surprised that I thought it was a surprise project (laugh). (Laughs) To be honest, I still can't believe that I could enter the world of "Doraemon," which has existed since before I was born and which I have enjoyed since I was a child, and become one of the characters. When I was in elementary school, I read "Doraemon" in Corocoro Comic. I understand that it is a manga/anime story, but it has been around me since I was a child, and I feel as if "Doraemon" is now part of my daily life. The unreliable Nobita is truly our voice, and Doraemon is always there by our side. Whenever we felt vulnerable, we could lean on Doraemon even for a moment just by imagining, "If only Doraemon could help me! Even as we grow older, they remain constant. It's like they are in the DNA of us Japanese who have grown accustomed to them. I think that is why they have remained with us for 50 years.

During postrecording, I have to trust the director's OK when it comes to voice acting, but this time I feel that Doraemon, Nobita, and the other voice actors were able to pull me in with their voices. Also, the quality of the pictures is amazing even at this stage, and I was impressed despite the fact that it is still unfinished. Anyway, I am looking forward to the completion of the project. Incidentally, I was also a boy who loved dinosaurs! Ever since I was in kindergarten, I imagined the world of the Cretaceous Period, the setting of this work, and like Nobita, I even excavated fossils. I have also watched "Nobita's Dinosaurs," and I am happy to be a part of "Nobita's New Dinosaurs," the 40th film in the 50th anniversary series, which makes us realize things we never thought about before. It's a movie that kids and adults can enjoy together and the whole family can enjoy together, so please watch it! I can't wait to see it myself!

What secret tools do you want?
When I memorize lines from dramas, I often wish I had an Ankipan, but it would be frustrating to have people think, "He's using Ankipan to memorize the lines, right? I would like to go to the top of the Himalayas, the highest place in the world, by the Door Anywhere. It's not fair, but I'd like to use the Door Anywhere to see the view from a place that requires physical strength, weather conditions, and various other conditions to get to. And of course, when I was little, I checked to see if there was a time machine in my desk drawer. I thought to myself, "There's no way there's a time machine in my desk drawer.

If you were to replace yourself with a Doraemon character, what would you be?
My ideal would be Gian. I gradually became attracted to Gian, who always keeps "what's yours is mine," and now that I'm an adult, I think he's cool as a man. But I still can't be Gian. So I guess I am like "Nobio," a mix of Nobita and Suneo (laughs). I am not the type who can sleep fast like Nobita, and I was not as wealthy as Suneo, so I am either "Nobio" or "Suneo" (laugh).
