The Blu-ray box set of the space opera classic "Dirty Pair" will be released on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

In this gripping sci-fi action film, Yuri and Kei, the Lovely Angels, the World Welfare Workers Association's (WWWA) prized trouble consultants, take on a space adventure to solve the galaxy's problems. The Dirty Pair" is a milestone in space opera, in which Yuri and Kay take on the challenge of solving difficult problems.

This work, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is a popular series by Takachiho Haruka, a science fiction writer known for "Crusher Joe" and other works, and has been adapted into a variety of media, including animated TV series, feature films, and OVAs, and has become a major hit.

The Blu-ray box set of "Dirty Pair" will be released on December 18, 2019 (Wed.) as the definitive edition containing all the visual works from the series.

The footage was scanned from the master positive film in 2K and restored to remove dust, scratches, fading due to age, and other physical elements caused by the film, and each series was supervised by the director and production staff of the time. The FORS technology has enabled the production of colorful, high-quality images that retain the film taste while not losing the intent of the original production. In addition, all TV series, theatrical movies, and OVA series (including FLASH) are included in the complete set.
(*FORS technology: A technology that analyzes the image characteristics of each work and derives the optimal restoration parameters to achieve high quality that cannot be obtained by leaving the restoration to the machine.)

The three-sided box and digipak design for both A-sides features new illustrations by "Dirty Pair" character designer Tsukasa Tokite and "Dirty Pair FLASH" character designer Takahiro Kimura.

In addition, a new audio commentary by Kyoko Tongu (Kei) and Saeko Shimazu (Yuri), the main cast, is included.

The "First Limited Edition" includes a 100-page "WWWA Official Premium File". It includes a collection of beautiful copyright illustrations and interviews with related parties, key visuals, VHS, LD, and DVD jacket illustrations, promotional posters, various line drawings, and many other items, as well as a special interview with the original author Takachiho Haruka, TV series director Kashima/OVA director Yatabe, "FLASH" director Sunaga, director Mochizuki director, TV series producer Norio Hatsukawa, Takayuki Yoshii, and interviews with Kyoko Tonomiya (who plays Kei) and Saeko Shimazu (who plays Yuri).
