Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna" and "02" characters will appear in the latest movie "Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION Kizuna"! New cast members were also announced.

The new characters and voice cast for "Digimon Adventure Last Evolution: Kizuna", the latest movie to be released on February 21, 2020, which was announced as the 20th anniversary film of the "Digimon" series, have been announced.

The first film version of the "Digimon Adventure" anime was released on March 6, 1999, followed by the TV series on March 7, the next day, and various "Digimon" series have been developed since then.
The series has since been expanded into various other "Digimon" series.

Daisuke Motomiya, Ken Ichijoji, Kyo Inoue, and Iori Hita, the main characters of "Digimon Adventure 02," will appear as new characters to color the 20th anniversary film.

Digimon Adventure 02" is the second TV series that aired from April 2, 2000 to March 25, 2001. Set several years after the world of "Digimon Adventure," the story follows the adventures of Daisuke Motomiya and his new "chosen children" as they go on adventures with their respective Digimon partners.
Taichi Yagami, the protagonist of the previous "Digimon Adventure," and other characters appeared as their seniors and gained popularity.

This is the first time that the main characters from "02" have been depicted in a movie since the TV series ended.
In the new drawing released along with the film, the characters are shown to have grown into adults, while still retaining their old appearance. The characters, such as Daisuke who is training to become a ramen shop owner, seem to be approaching the future world depicted in the final episode of "02".

Four new voice cast members have been selected to portray the grown-up characters: Fukujuro Katayama (Daisuke Motomiya), Lansbury Arthur (Ken Ichijoji), Ayaka Asai (Kyo Inoue), and Shosei Yamatani (Iori Hita).
Junko Noda (Buimon), Naozumi Takahashi (Wormmon), Koichi Tochika (Hawkmon), and Megumi Urawa (Armajimon), who play the respective partner Digimon, will continue to play them in this movie.

At the "Digifest 2019" event held today, July 28 (Sunday) at 13:30 at the Maihama Amphitheater, it was announced to fans that the "02" main characters will appear in the latest film, and the new cast also took the stage as surprise guests.

The visuals and cast information for the new characters of "Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION: Kizuna" have been revealed, and will be introduced as well.

Character introductions

Daisuke Motomiya (Fukujuro Katayama)
Daisuke Motomiya (Fukujuro Katayama) is a first-year student at a vocational school. He is studying to obtain a chef's license. He has decided to train as a ramen shop apprentice and uses the Digital Gate to travel around the world eating and studying noodles. His partner Digimon is Buimon.

Ken Ichijyoji (Lansbury Arthur)
A first-year university student studying psychology. He has a strong sense of justice and actively participates in Digimon activities. He often accompanies Daisuke on his ramen trips. His partner Digimon is Wormmon.

Kyo Inoue (Ayaka Asai)
Kyo Inoue is a second-year student studying programming at an engineering college. She is currently studying abroad in Spain. She manages a community of chosen children and actively communicates with them. She aspires to become an adult woman. Her partner Digimon is Hawkmon.

Iori Hita (Shosei Yamatani)
Iori Hita (Shosei Yamatani) is the only member in her second year of high school. She aspires to be a lawyer and is studying hard for a law degree. She also continues to play kendo in her club activities, and is pursuing what she thinks is the right path. He has grown taller and more mature. His partner Digimon is Armajimon.
