Anisama 15th year anniversary project! Anisama Playback! The 11th "Animelo Summer Live 2015 -THE GATE-" It is a mythical scene engraved in the history of ani-song!

Animelo Summer Live" (hereafter, "Anisama"), the world's largest anime song event that brings together the top artists in the anime song world, will celebrate its 15th anniversary this summer with "Animelo Summer Live 2019 -STORY-" (hereafter, "Anisama 2019").

To commemorate this anniversary year of Anisama, Akiba Research Institute takes a year-by-year playback of past Anisamas!

Let's hear from anime and anime song writers who participated in the Anisama back then, as well as their memories, and get excited about Anisama 2019, which will be held over the three days of August 30, 31, and September 1, 2019!

So, the 11th edition of the Animelo Summer Live 2015 -THE GATE- has entered further uncharted territory after returning to its roots in 2014!

This time, writer Kiri Nakazato, who knows a thing or two about idol-related anime, delves into the three days from his unique perspective.

Animelo Summer Live 2015 -THE GATE-!

Date: August 28, 29, and 30, 2015

Venue: Saitama Super Arena (stadium mode)

Theme song: "Hajimare, THE GATE! Lyrics: Aki Hata / Composition and arrangement: Kazunori Watanabe

Animelo Summer Live (Anisama), which started in 2005, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2014 with the theme "ONENESS. It was the first title chosen by Anisama as the theme of its theme song. It was a return to the starting point, to the will to create a bridge of ani-songs to the world and to create a big place that transcends the boundaries of companies and labels. Animelo Summer Live 2015 -THE GATE-," which is the subject of this report, is the stage that will open the door to a new era in the next 10 years and beyond. In this article, I would like to talk about Anisama 2015 as a singularity of "idol content originating units".

One of the biggest changes (in the broad sense of the word) in the anisong world in the first 10 years of Anisama was the breakthrough of units that originated from works, especially idol works. The "THE iDOLM@STER" series, the "LOVE LIVE! series, "Aikatsu! series, and "Wake Up, Girls!

On the first day of Anisama 2015, when the performers were introduced at the opening of the show, it seemed as if Idolmaster, μ's, and LiSA were greeted with even more enthusiastic cheers. In this context, what will Anisama break, what will connect, and what will be shown as it enters a new era?

If I were to look back on the Anisama of 2015 and think about what was the symbolic scene of the year, it could only be the first shot that appeared on stage after the opening of the first day of the show.

THE iDOLM@STER x μ's

The opening of the show was accompanied by the intro of the OP "READY! almost everyone in the hall must have thought "THE IDOLM@STER" would be the top batter. However, the main stage gate opened and out came Eriko Nakamura (who plays Haruka Amami in "THE iDOLM@STER") and Emi Nitta (who plays Honoka Kosaka in "LOVE LIVE! ), the center of both productions. Yumi Hara and Aozora Tokui appeared, with Mami Shimoda and Aya Uchida solidifying both wings. While Ms. Nakamura and Ms. Nitta shouted the name of their respective works in high spirits, one could see Mami Imai smiling happily in the back row. Then the two center members take each other's hands and announce the start of Anisama.

It was not an exaggeration, but a mythical scene. Yumi Hara and Aya Uchida, Kyomi Asakura and Riho Iida, Aimi Numakura and Aina Kusuda, Mami Shimoda and Pile, and Mami Imai and Suzuko Mimori leaned in close for the opening song, "Bokachi wa Ima no Naka Nakade," in poses that were characteristic of each work. The members of each group held each other's hands in joy at the realization of their dream collaboration.

Melo Cure

The members of MeloCure performed "Wonderful Rush," "Kiramekirari," "No brands girls," and "GO MY WAY! 765 Pro and μ's sang and danced together to these gems of songs that have been polished by their respective works.

If you had asked them if they would like to collaborate and sing each other's songs at Anisama, many people in the industry would have replied with a wry smile, "It would be interesting and I would like to see it, but I think it would be difficult. In 2010, "Love Live! has brought light to anime and game content outside of the village and expanded the world of ani-song itself, including an appearance on the 66th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Singing Contest).

LiSA

I think the obstacle that stands in the way of these great brands mingling with each other is the stiffness in the air. There is an ambiguous atmosphere that exists both among the people involved and among the fans, as if it were difficult or safe to avoid. In reality, however, there should be no obstacles in the way of exchanges between the two contents. In fact, at overseas anime festivals, it is commonplace to see dream pictures of idol contents side by side with each other. In order to realize such a dream in Japan, all that is needed is the courage to make a bold proposal, the relationships necessary for negotiations to proceed, and a tenacious will. For Anisama, "THE iDOLM@STER" and "LOVE LIVE! There was a history and relationship of building the Anisama stage with both teams. It must have been significant that both teams at that time had key personnel such as Akihiro Ishihara and Yohei Kisara, who were in charge of the site.

Sphere & fripSide

The phrase "No brands girls," "Walls can be broken down, show me the future with courage, yes, I'm ready..." I felt that the choice of this song itself was a message that Anisama had put on this stage.

Another thing that made this collaboration so special was the timing. 765PRO AS, for me personally, has made great strides as an artist through the 2011 TV anime and the 2012 "THE IDOLM@STER 7th ANNIVERSARY 765PRO ALLSTARS: Together with Everyone! In 2014, they reached Saitama Super Arena for "THE IDOLM@STER M@STERS OF IDOL WORLD!!!2014". 2015", the month before the 2015 Anisama, they performed in a dome, which had been a dream of theirs for many years. It can be said that 765PRO was at the perfect timing to be fully finished with their training and preparation for the special dome performance.

ChouCho

The legend of μ's as a unit of voice actors performing live began in February 2012 with "Love Live! However, it was around February to April 2014 that the girls truly began their ascent to the top of the national idol unit ladder with their 4th live "Love Live! μ's→NEXT LoveLive! 2014 ~ENDLESS PARADE~" was held from February to April 2014, and the second season of the TV anime started. Then, μ's will hold its last solo live "μ's Final LoveLive! - μ'sic Forever♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪" at Tokyo Dome on March 31-April 1, 2016. Compared to their great achievements and influence, the season in which µ's ran to the top was surprisingly short.

The timing of August 2015 may have been the first and last time that 765 Pro AS and μ's could join hands in the most glorious conditions and circumstances. μ's member Aino Nanjo's only regret is that she could not sing with us due to her knee condition, but she herself I felt affection for her as she stood on stage, explained her situation, and shared her time at the venue.

In a sense, the Anisama event had a special connection to the idol content of "Wake Up, Girls! It is a well-known story that Saitama Super Arena was the model for I-1 Arena, the home venue of I-1 Club, the most powerful major idol group in the anime of the same name, and that Anisama cooperated in providing the coverage and materials needed to depict the venue.

Wake Up, Girls!

As a voice-over unit, Wake Up, Girls! made their first appearance at "Animelo Summer Live 2014 -ONENESS-". This year, 2015, also coincided with the release of "Wake Up, Girls! Sequel to the Movie: Shadow of Youth" in September and "Beyond the Bottom" in December of the same year. It was a big stage with a mission to win the hearts of a large audience with their matured performances and bring them to the theater.

THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS

angela

The fans who gathered at Anisama were kind and welcoming, as the venue gradually turned green, the image color of WUG. A sea of green lights greeted the seven girls who took the stage in "Symphony for Girls" costumes reminiscent of green military uniforms. The sight of the lights filling the Saitama Super Arena became a seed in the hearts of the girls, and four years later, they will fill the venue alone for the "Wake Up, Girls! The experience of a packed Saitama Super Arena filled with light for themselves was an unforgettable experience for the seven girls, and I believe it gave a solid outline to their dream of standing alone in this venue.

Three years after this day, the 2018 Anisama was the last Anisama for Wake Up, Girls! μ's performed their final live in 2016, and Wake Up, Girls! and Milky Holmes ended their activities in 2019. No work or unit is permanent, and one day it will come to an end.

fhána.

Personally, when I feel sentimental about the end of a unit, the first thing I pick up is the live BD of "Animelo Summer Live 2015 - THE GATE-. It is the very moment when the girls ran through the live with glitter and sparkle. What makes the BD different from the videos of individual live performances of each work or unit is that it also captures the atmosphere of the times, how the packed audience at the world's largest anime song festival evaluated and welcomed each work or unit.

The miraculous time when legend and legend went hand in hand is still there, and always will be.
