Broadcasting starts today! TV anime "Tri-Nights" and "Super Shiodome Paradise" event report featuring Shogo Sakamoto and Takuatsu Terashima!

The TV anime "Tri-Nights" will begin airing today, Tuesday, July 30, 2019, on NTV and other networks. Shogo Sakamoto (playing Riku Haruma) and Takuatsu Terashima (playing Touri Fuyuhara) appeared on stage at "Choshiodome Paradise" at NTV to give a special talk show just before the anime airs.

The original TV animation "Tri-Nights," based on the theme of high school rugby, is a coming-of-age story centered on two players who fight with their brains (Tactics) and bodies (Physical). Animation production was handled by GONZO. The delicate characters weave an ensemble coming-of-age drama that is charmingly expressed in animation.

The second theme was "Rugby and myself." With the expectation of the Rugby World Cup starting in September, we asked him about "rugby," which is the main focus of the story in this film. Sakamoto-san said, "Physicality is important, but I felt that strategy is also very important to win the game. Mr. Terashima commented, "I felt that there were many interesting points about rugby in this film, such as the names of the different positions. The two commented on the enjoyment of gaining knowledge of rugby through the film.

The third theme was "Afreco Boys Talk. Since the story takes place in a high school rugby club, the recording studio is almost exclusively male voice actors. When asked about the atmosphere at the recording studio, Sakamoto said, "There are muscle training goods at the studio, probably because the theme of the anime is rugby. Kenn brought in an abdominal roller and told a behind-the-scenes story about how they use it to train while eating snacks. Sakamoto, who is playing the lead role in a TV anime series for the first time, also talked about Kenn and the other senior members of the cast, commenting, "I learn a lot from everyone around me on the set, and I get a lot of inspiration every day. Mr. Sakamoto, who wrote the song "Infinite Try," the theme song of the film, said, "I wrote this song focusing on Riku's upbringing. I am very happy that it was chosen as the theme song for this film. He also expressed his joy.
