The first downloadable content for PS4's Shenmue III, "Battle Rally," is available today! A battle race takes place in the village of Shiroshika

Deep Silver today, Tuesday, January 21, 2020, began distributing the first downloadable content for Shenmue III on PS4, "Battle Rally.

The "Shenmue" series shocked the world when the first title was released on the Dreamcast as a pioneer of 3D open-world games. In "Shenmue III," the latest in the series, players take on the role of Ryo Basuki, a young martial arts master, and are free to walk around the vast natural surroundings and the city streets full of life, talk with various people, and train themselves to fight powerful enemies.

In "Battle Rally," available from today, players will be able to play a battle race set in the village of Shiroshika, the place where "Shenmue III" began. The main character Ryo Basuki, treasure hunter Takehaka Blade, and Weichin, a girl who makes her first appearance in this title, race through the course while battling to win the first place in order to obtain luxurious items. In order to play the "Battle Rally," players will need to have reached Torimai or have already cleared the game's save data.

In addition, an event to find "Shiroshika-chan," the official mascot of Shiroshika Village, is currently being held. If you find more Shiroshika-chan, you can get items that will give you an advantage in the "Battle Rally" races.
