The following is a report on the opening day stage greeting for "High School Fleet the Movie.
Stage Greeting Report (original text)
High School Fleet the Movie," the long-awaited and completely new animation series, will be released on January 18, 2020 (Sat.). On the same day, a stage greeting was held at Shinjuku Wald 9.
Shiina Natsukawa (Akeno Misaki), Lynn (Mashiro Soya), Nozomi Furuki (Shima Tateishi), Atsumi Tanazaki (Mei Nishizaki), Yuko Kurose (Sachiko Nosa), Momo Asakura (Miyako Irago), Naomi Ozora (Susan Reges), and Satoshi Tsuruoka (Gojuroku) took the stage for the event. They talked about the highlights of this work and episodes from the recording to the many fans who came to see the show.
The cast members took the stage at the invitation of Tsuruoka, who also served as MC, and thanked the many fans who had come despite the inclement snowy weather. Tanezaki said, "It's snowing, which is a pinch, but it's the first day of the show, which is typical of "High School Fleet" (laughs). I thought it was a good thing in reverse, just like this work." He laughed at the dramatic development, which is typical of "Hai Furie," which has depicted numerous difficulties in its production.
After the announcement of the production of the film version in 2018, the cast members were happy to finally have the release date. Natsukawa thanked the fans who had been waiting for the release of the film and said, "As I will be playing the role of the captain, I feel as if the ship is finally setting sail," adding that she was deeply moved by the news.
Ohzora, who will be making his first appearance in the film, was surprised at the number of cast members gathered in the studio for postrecording. He added, "I felt tense at the time, thinking that I was joining a large cast.
The appearance of new characters is a highlight of the film, but the turning point for Mashiro Soya, which is also depicted in the trailer, is also a point of interest. Lynn said, "I want the audience to see what kind of decision she will make until the end," and asked the audience to pay attention to her feelings.
To provide a break from such serious descriptions, Tsuruoka introduced the duo of Shima Tateishi and Mei Nishizaki. In response, Furuki insisted, "We are going to play the leading roles ourselves! (laugh)," but his partner Tanesaki commented calmly, "I don't think of us as the main actors (laugh). The audience laughed at their comedic exchange.
Kurose also mentioned Yokosuka, a sacred place in the series and the site of many tie-up projects. He also mentioned that various cityscapes are depicted in this film, and encouraged fans to visit Yokosuka and enjoy touring the sacred sites.
The cast members then introduced the characters they were interested in in this film. Tsuruoka picked out "Gojuroku," who has grown up in a different way (laugh) and is fatter than ever. Tsuruoka said that there is a "funny trick" in this film, which he prepared in consultation with the director. Tsuruoka said, "I hope you will find it.
Oozora, who mentioned Irago Mikan, played by Asakura, as his favorite character, declared with a big smile, "I liked her from the first time I met her, and I liked her even more in the movie version! I have loved her since I first met her, and I like her even more now that I saw the movie version! Then he asked, "Are you talking about her (Asakura)? That changes the subject, doesn't it? (Natsukawa was quick to respond with a laugh. Natsukawa tried not to hand over her favorite Asakura, but the cast members, as if to say that it was an everyday scene, shouted, "The police! The cast members, who seemed to have had enough to talk about, were not satisfied with their conversation.
The cast members seemed to have more to say, but the event was about to end. In closing, Natsukawa, on behalf of the cast, said, "All the characters shine in this work. Please look forward to seeing your favorite characters in action! She concluded the event with the following words.
