This work is set two years after the previous work "Gundam Build Divers". Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN) had been upgraded with sensory feedback to provide a more realistic play experience.

The Gunpla that appear in the film are also noteworthy. The Core Gundam, controlled by the main character Kazami, is a Gunpla based on the RX-78 Gundam, and is equipped with a planet system that allows it to dock with various support mecha to obtain completely different appearances and performance.

So far, the Earthly Gundam is most effective in a basic battle style.
