Razer Launches Canal-type Headset for Gaming with Switchable On/Off Voicer and Japanese-enabled Version of Popular Gaming Keyboard
Razer, a gaming device company, will release the Razer Hammerhead Duo Console, a canal-type headset that allows users to turn voice chat on and off at their fingertips (MSRP 8,800 yen including tax), and the Razer Huntsman Elite JP - Linear Optical Switch, a Japanese version of the popular Huntsman Elite gaming keyboard (MSRP 29,800 yen including tax). The Razer Huntsman Elite JP - Linear Optical Switch, a Japanese-language version of the popular Huntsman Elite gaming keyboard, will be available in Japan from January 31, 2020.
Hammerhead Duo Console
The Hammerhead Duo Console is a canal-type headset (earphones with microphone) for smartphones and game consoles that connects via a 3.5mm mini-plug, and features a hybrid configuration with two built-in drivers, a BA (balanced armature) type and a dynamic type. type driver delicately reproduces mid and high frequencies, while the dynamic type driver adds thickness to the low frequency range to achieve a clear and powerful sound.
The basic specifications are the same as those of the Hammerhead Duo, and the cable is equipped with an in-line remote control and microphone to support voice chat. The change is in the in-line remote control. It has been changed from a central control for volume control and playback and call handling to a switch to turn the microphone on and off, as requested. This feature allows users to instantly change voice chat off at their fingertips in case they need to use the restroom, rehydrate, or answer an urgent phone call during a game.
The Black cable has a low-friction, tangle-free braided coating. Both colors come with three types of earpieces (S/M/L sizes) and a special carrying case for easy transport on the go.

Huntsman Elite JP - Linear Optical Switch Japanese layout version
The Huntsman Elite JP - Linear Optical Switch is a Japanese layout version of the Huntsman Elite Linear, which has been well received by many gamers in Japan for its high performance despite its US layout. It is equipped with the new Razer Linear Optical Switch, a new type of keyswitch that delivers high-speed performance with instantaneous response to keystrokes.
Razer Linear Optical Switches are optical (optical) switches that use infrared light for key press and release motion detection. They do not require the process of avoiding false keystrokes (chattering) due to bouncing, which is unavoidable with normal mechanical switches, and enable high-speed keystrokes with no delay.
The switch has a linear tactile feel that requires more load the more the key is pressed down, without a clicking sensation. The actuation point is 1.0 mm, 16.67% shorter than conventional linear mechanical switches, and the pressing pressure is 40 g. Even shallow and light input is accurately activated without any loss. Razer linear optical switches also contribute to increased durability. The optical mechanism, which requires less physical contact, has achieved a long life span that can withstand up to 100 million keystrokes.
The top right corner of the main unit is equipped with a multi-function digital dial for instant control of screen brightness and audio volume, and three tactile media keys that can be set to any application. The user can also customize macros and shortcuts. Hybrid storage is also supported, allowing customized profiles with macros and shortcuts to be stored both in onboard memory and in the cloud. Up to five profiles can be saved, allowing for customized keyboard operation even when the user's environment changes.
The Razer Chroma lighting system, a familiar feature of Razer devices, is of course also supported. By linking with the "Chroma Studio" PC software, users can enjoy illumination synchronized with popular games, blink when attacked, and set up light effects to suit their own preferences. It is also possible to set the light emission effects to suit your own preferences.
The Huntsman Elite JP - Linear Optical Switch also comes with a Razer Chroma-compatible wrist rest (24 lighting zones). By attaching it to the keyboard with the built-in magnet, users can enjoy lighting with the wrist rest as an integral part of the keyboard.
