Cast and event information from the new "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" project is released!

Information on the cast and events of the new "Higurashi When They Cry" anime project has been released.

Higurashi When They Cry" was first released as a doujin game in 2002, and its fascination with solving puzzles and its bizarre scenario spread by word-of-mouth, leading to its porting to consumer game consoles, comic book adaptation, anime adaptation, live-action film adaptation, stage adaptation, and various other media development. The game has also been ported to consumer video game consoles, adapted into a comic book, anime, live-action movie, and stage play.

As previously announced, a new project for "Higurashi When They Cry" has been launched, and the cast information and event information for the new anime have just been released.

The cast will continue to feature Soichiro Hoshi as the main character Keiichi Maehara and Mai Nakahara as his classmate Rena Ryumiya.

It was also decided that a " Higurashi When They Cry" stage event will be held on the MOON YELLOW Stage (14:20-14:50) at AnimeJapan 2020, one of Japan's largest anime events, on March 21, 2020. The event will feature Soichiro Hoshi, Mai Nakahara, and the original author, Ryu Knight 07. It is highly likely that new details will be announced at the event.
