The Blu-ray and DVD of "City Hunter the Movie <Shinjuku Private Eyes>," which was released on February 8, 2019, will be released on October 30, 2019 (Wednesday).

A new feature-length animation "City Hunter the Movie: Shinjuku Private Eyes" will be screened in theaters on February 8, 2019 (Friday). The original cast, including Akira Kamiya as Akira Saeba and Kazue Ikura as Kaoru Makimura, have "miraculously" reunited for the voice cast, and the original story written especially for this film is also attracting a lot of attention.

The Blu-ray & DVD of "City Hunter the Movie <Shinjuku Private Eyes>" will be released on October 30, 2019 (Wednesday).

When the film was released in theaters, it drew over 1.06 million viewers and earned over 1.5 billion yen at the box office. TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku, where the exterior of the film appears in the movie and the action scene unfolds in front of the entrance, became a sacred place among fans and recorded a prominent attendance of over 100 million yen per theater and a box-office share of 6.8% (*as of 4/14) in 251 theaters nationwide.

The Blu-ray and DVD release of the film will come in a luxury box and digital jacket with illustrations by Kumiko Takahashi, the original staff member from the beginning of the anime series and the character designer of the film, using her first newly drawn illustrations.
The limited edition includes an audio commentary, stage greeting, and non-credit OP/ED. In addition, a condensed version of the recording script and a special booklet are included.

A Blu-ray BOX of the TV series will also be released on the same day. The jacket is newly drawn by Tsukasa Hojo, the author of the original work. Both items are now available for pre-order, so don't miss out.
