Character information on the "Moscow Hagetai" from the spring anime "New Sakura Taisen the Animation" is released! The cast includes Misaki Watada, Kenji Akabane, and Haruka Shiraishi!

Information about a new Hanagekidan, the "Moscow Hanagekidan," which will appear in the TV anime "New Sakura Wars the Animation" scheduled to air from April 2020, has been released. Comments from the voice actors and staff have also been received.

New Sakura Wars the Animation" is an anime adaptation of the PlayStation 4 action adventure "New Sakura Wars" released in December 2019. It will depict a new battle story of the "Teikoku Kagekidan, Hana-gumi" centered on the main character, Sakura Amamiya.

This work will be directed by Manabu Ono, with Ono and Tatsuhiko Urahata working together on the series composition. Animation production will be handled by Sanzigen.

My name is Mika Pikazo, and I was in charge of character design for "Mosika Kagekidan". For me, "Sakura Wars" was a legendary game that was widely known throughout the world when I first learned about it as a student, and I was overwhelmed by the excitement of the game, the cuteness of the character designs, and the loveliness of the numerous songs. The characters of the "Moshike Kagekidan" appearing in "New Sakura Wars" are all characters who carry light and shadows that cannot be described in a single word, and each one of them is a fascinating character who is full of feelings for something and whose expression suddenly shows a backbone. I gave a lot of thought to how I could express these characters in my designs. I am looking forward to seeing how they interact with the main characters and what kind of feelings they will share with each other.

I designed the new aircraft for the TV anime version, continuing on from the PS4 game.
Director Ono wanted the aircraft to have a bird-like image, so I designed it to be different from the previous models. We look forward to working with you on "New Sakura Wars the Animation!

I am very happy to be a part of the new start of the historical title "Sakura Wars", but I also feel a lot of pressure. However, I was touched by the passionate love for "Sakura Wars" shown by everyone at SEGA at the meeting with the team for the game version of "New Sakura Wars," and it made me develop a love for "Sakura Wars" within myself. Sakura Taisen" is a game of passionate battles, friendship, and romance. While there are comical scenes, at its core, "Sakura Wars" is a passionate drama.
