Celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Rayearth" with character songs! Hiroko Kasahara One-Man Live "Wind Blows from the Future" Report

On June 15, 2019, just before the beginning of the rainy season. Seiyu, Tokyo, June 15, 2019, at TAKE OFF7 in Shibuya, Tokyo, voice actress Hiroko Kasahara held her solo live "Kaze wa Mirai kara kuru (Wind Blows from the Future)".

This time, as the title "Kaze ha Mirai kara kara kuru (Wind Blows from the Future)" suggests, the event featured the memorable anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" in which Ms. Kasahara played one of the main characters, Kaze Hououji, in a major role. Opening with calm summer songs

Ms. Kasahara appeared on stage with sunflowers on her chest and her hair in braids, reminding us of summer. When she opened the live with "Sunflower," a song with a calm and refreshing band sound, the audience spontaneously clapped their hands.

The theme of the first half of the concert, which began with such an at-home atmosphere, was "summer. Many people may imagine "summer songs" to be energetic songs, but the summer songs sung by Ms. Kasahara this time were mainly gentle songs filled with the atmosphere of summer and nostalgia. The audience was delighted to hear her mature summer songs, which she is able to sing only because she has experienced both the sweet and the sour of summer.

The following songs, "Distant Summer Holiday" and "Natsu Monogatari" were probably the most straightforward expressions of this year's theme. The stylish city-pop style sound and the crisp band arrangement were very comfortable to listen to.

On the other hand, "Sora no Tatteiru Ringo" showcases the passionate voice of the singers.

In "Natsu Monogatari," the band wore straw hats to create a summer mood, and in "Sora no Tatari Ringo" they actually appeared on stage with apples in their hands. The performance was a pleasure not only for the auditory but also for the visual sense.

A live band performed the legendary "Rayearth" character songs!

Following the opening of the show, in which artist Hiroko Kasahara really showed her talent, the audience was treated to a live band performance of the legendary "Rayearth" character songs.

"Magic Knight Rayearth: Featuring Hououji Kaze! The "Magical Knight Rayearth" is a popular anime series that has been performed in many countries.

Magic Knight Rayearth" is an anime that has been broadcast on TV since 1994, and was a hit at the time for its various elements such as otherworldly transition, magic, robots, and romance. Ms. Kasahara played the role of Kaze Hououji, one of its main heroines, and has released numerous character songs. However, although they have been released as CDs, most of the songs have never been performed live.

This year was the 25th anniversary of the TV broadcast of "Rayearth," and "Rayearth" was featured prominently in the live performance to celebrate the anniversary.

Ms. Kasahara reappeared on stage holding a stuffed toy of Mokona, the mascot character of "Rayearth" and shouted "Heki no Shippou! and sang the theme song, "Yuzurenai wisagashi (Undying Wish). While the original song was performed by Naomi Tamura, whose punchy vocals were impressive, Kasahara's cover was somewhat more elegant and graceful. However, the high tones of the song also soared, and the audience's voltage soared!

The next song was "Sonatine of the Gentle Breeze," which was released as a single CD, followed by a series of rare songs from the character song album, including "Zutto," "Anticipatory Wind," "Pale Wind," and "From Me to You. According to Mr. Kasahara, "Most of the songs were sung for the first time (at a live concert). However, the tunes varied from symphonic to folk songs and pop tunes, and Kasahara's voice matched them exquisitely. They are truly masterpieces.

Ms. Kasahara herself, looking back on the songs again, said, "I must have a lot of songs in my treasure box. Thank you, Mr. Kasahara, for performing such a wonderful song live, and thank you, Aishtels☆Special, for performing it for us! I am filled with a feeling of "thank you".

Fans of "Rayearth" may have been impressed by the way Kaze-chan's lines were inserted in between the songs. In addition, the audience was told that "Magic Knight Rayearth" had recently been included in the game "Super Robot T," and that they had met the main cast members, Hekiru Shiina and Konami Yoshida, for the first time in a while.

After enjoying Kasahara-san's talk, the live climaxed with a song based on the motif of "wind. Coeur," "Wind for Tomorrow," and "Wind ~In the Wind~" were performed one after another, full of positive energy and exhilaration, and the audience naturally clapped louder.
