Comments have arrived!

Comments from the staff and cast have been received and will be introduced below (all in Japanese).

Comments from Mirai Shida
How did you feel when you were chosen to appear in the film?
I was surprised when I heard that I would be playing the role of Muge.
I also felt a lot of pressure because I would be working with Hanae-san, but I was really happy.

What do you think of the character you played, "Muge"?
I thought she was a really bright and straightforward girl. She is a very pleasant girl to watch because she expresses her feelings honestly, which is rare nowadays. However, there is a childish part of her that is unaware of the love from those around her, and there is also a gap between the outside face she shows at school and the inside face she shows when she is in her room. I thought that all of these aspects of Muguet were portrayed in an appealing manner.

Message to the audience
I think this work will give you the courage to take a step forward. Muge's appearance as a cat is also very cute, so please look forward to it.

Comment from Natsuki Hanae
How did you feel when you were chosen to play the role?
I thought it was a very nice work with a great atmosphere. It is a work that captures everyday life, but it has a very fantastical feel to it, and I thought the exquisiteness of it was very wonderful. There are a lot of cats in the film, and I like cats a lot, so I thought this was a work of destiny.

About your character "Hinode
Hinode is a boy who cannot fully express his thoughts, and has yet to decide on his dreams for the future and how he will move forward. It is typical for a junior high school student to be unable to realize the feelings that Muge has for Hinode. I think he is a boy in the middle of puberty. I think it is fascinating to see how his feelings change from there, how his will gradually changes, and how he gradually shifts from being a boy to becoming a young man.

Message to the audience
This film contains feelings and messages that we all have, such as how much easier it would be if we could say one more word when communicating. It is a very interesting work that combines beautiful images of everyday life with unrealistic fantasy elements, such as going to a cat's world and becoming a cat, so please look forward to seeing it.

Director Junichi Sato comments
If I were a cat, I might be able to live more comfortably. I wouldn't have to keep a lid on my mind, pretend to be fine, or put on a smile to match the people around me. Mirai Shida plays the girl who is always hiding her surging heart and acting cheerful, and Natsuki Hanae plays the boy who is trying to suppress his surging heart.

Director Tomotaka Shibayama commented
I wanted to depict Muge, Hinode and the cats in this town lined with chimneys. It was interesting and thrilling to work with Director Sato and his trustworthy staff, building up the film little by little through trial and error. I would be happy if you could feel a little closer to the world and time in which Muge and his friends live.

Comment from Mari Okada
Director Sato's mastery of his craft, Director Shibayama's deep love for his work, and the daily enthusiasm of each and every one of the staff members have created a nostalgic work. The nickname of the main character, Muge, is short for "Infinite Mystery Man. We hope that you will come to the theater to see the growth of Mugue, who is considered a mystery in the midst of a mysterious situation.
