The "Evangelion and Japanese Sword Exhibition + EVANGELION ARTWORK SELECTION" to be held at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Department Store will include an exhibit related to "Shin Evangelion the Movie," scheduled for release in June 2020.

The "Evangelion" series began in 1995 with the broadcast of the animated television series "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and has since expanded into a variety of media, including comics, movies, and video games, creating a social phenomenon. The third film, ":Q," released in the fall of 2012, drew 3.8 million viewers and grossed over 5.3 billion yen at the box office, and DVD and BD sales totaled 2 million copies. The long-awaited Shin Evangelion the Movie is scheduled to be released in 2020.
