Pokémon raised by each software can be deposited together! Cloud service "Pokémon HOME" to be launched in February 2020

Pokémon Inc. announced that it will launch "Pokémon HOME," a cloud service for Nintendo Switch and smartphones (iOS/Android) based on the concept of "a place where all Pokémon gather," in February 2020.

Pokémon HOME" allows users to deposit Pokémon they have joined in the "Pokémon" series in a Pokémon Box on the cloud and take them with them to the software they are linked to.


In addition, by linking the Nintendo Switch and smartphone versions of "Pokémon HOME" to the same "Nintendo Account," it is possible to share Pokémon Boxes from each hardware. Players can also enjoy exchanging Pokémon with players around the world using their smartphones.

Linking with Each Software

Pokémon HOME can be linked to other software applications to deposit Pokémon you have joined and take them with you to the software applications.

Linkage with "Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu Eevee" and "Pokémon Sword Shield" is only available for the Nintendo Switch version.
Pokémon that can be taken to "Pokémon Sword Shield" are Pokémon that are registered in the "Pokémon Book" and some other Pokémon.
Pokémon sent from "Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu Eevee" can be withdrawn from "Pokémon HOME" to "Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu Eevee" if they have never been taken to other software.
When you move a Pokémon deposited in the "Pokémon Bank" to "Pokémon HOME", the information in the "Pokémon Book" registered in the "Pokémon Bank" will be transferred to "Pokémon HOME".
To move Pokémon from the Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME, you must subscribe to the Pokémon HOME Premium Plan (paid subscription).
You cannot withdraw Pokémon from Pokémon HOME to the Pokémon Bank.

Pokémon Exchange Function

The smartphone version of "Pokémon HOME" is also equipped with the following four Pokémon exchange functions.


Miracle Box

By depositing Pokémon in the Miracle Box, you can automatically exchange Pokémon with players around the world even when you are not using Pokémon HOME.


■GTS

This function allows you to exchange Pokémon with other Pokémon who meet your requirements by setting the Pokémon you wish to obtain in an exchange and the Pokémon you wish to offer for exchange. Pokémon that are not registered in the National Pokémon Directory in Pokémon HOME can also be set as Pokémon you wish to obtain.


Group Exchange

This function allows you to create a group of up to 20 people and exchange Pokémon with all the people in the group. You do not know whose Pokémon you will receive until you exchange Pokémon, allowing you to enjoy random Pokémon exchanges.

Group creation is a feature available only with the Premium Plan (paid service).


Friend Exchange

This feature allows users to exchange Pokémon with other users nearby who have become friends in Pokémon HOME. Friends can be added from the "Friend function" in "Pokémon HOME".

The "Friends" function of "Pokémon HOME" is not available for users under 16 years of age.

National Picture Book" function

Pokémon can also be registered in the "National Pokémon Directory" by depositing Pokémon in "Pokémon HOME". Pokémon that can "Mega Shinka" or "Kyodai Max" can also be registered by depositing them. The smartphone version of "Pokémon HOME" has a function that allows users to search for Pokémon by characteristics and learnable moves using the "National Picture Book.

The "Mysterious Treasure" function

In addition, the smartphone version of Pokémon HOME has a "Mysterious Treasure" function. This function allows users to receive gifts for Pokémon HOME and "mysterious gifts" for "Pokémon Sword and Shield" instead. Pokémon received through Pokémon HOME can be stored in the Pokémon Box in Pokémon HOME.

The "Area Check" function for mysterious gifts is not available for those under 16 years of age.
Some functions may not be available depending on the device or OS version.

In addition, "Pokémon HOME" is equipped with various functions as follows.


Pokémon List: ...... You can check the Pokémon you have deposited, their characteristics, and the moves they have learned. If you subscribe to the Premium Plan (charged), you can use the Judge function to check Pokémon's abilities.


My Room: ...... You can receive notifications about linked software and event information. Players can also edit their own profiles using stickers. Stickers can be obtained based on "achievements" in "Pokémon HOME".


Battle Data: ...... You can check the results of "Ranked Battles" of "Pokémon Sword and Shield" and various Internet competitions, as well as the rankings of Pokémon used in these competitions.


Notices: ...... Notices of Pokémon gifts and information on "Pokémon Sword Shield" Internet tournaments are delivered.


Pokémon HOME Points......Points that can be accumulated depending on the number of Pokémon deposited in the Pokémon Box. Points can be redeemed for BP (Battle Points) from the "Pokémon" series.

The Battle Data function will be implemented after the "Pokémon HOME" service is launched.
*The "My Room," "Battle Data," and "Notifications" functions are limited to the smartphone version.
Redeeming Pokémon HOME Points for BP (Battle Points) is a feature available only for the Nintendo Switch version.

Collect Pokémon in the Pokémon Bank!

To celebrate the release of "Pokémon HOME," a campaign will be held to offer free use of "Pokémon Bank" and "Pokémover" for one month from the start of the service. The Pokémon Bank and Pokémover are functions that allow users to deposit Pokémon they have joined into the Pokémon Bank. You can move Pokémon from the Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME.

Moving Pokémon from the "Pokémon Bank" to "Pokémon HOME" requires a subscription to the Premium Plan (paid service).
