2019/8/9-12] Beautiful female cosplayers at the first Comiket in 2021! Comic Market 96" First Day Photo Report!

Comic Market 96 (C96), the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition, opened on August 9, 2018, at Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo. This was the first Comic Market held after the switch to the new era name of 2021.

Since Big Sight will be used as the main press center for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, the East Exhibition Hall, which had been the Comic Market venue for many years, was completely unavailable this year. In addition to the West Exhibition Hall, where companies usually exhibit booths in previous years, two new venues were opened: the South Exhibition Hall and the Qinghai Exhibition Hall, which will be temporarily set up only during the Olympics.

In addition, the space in the new venue was smaller than that of the East Exhibition Hall, resulting in fewer circles being able to participate in a single day. To compensate for this, Comic Market 96 and 97 were held over four days for the first time in history.

Comic Market is also known as a coterie magazine exhibition with free admission, but until the next Comic Market in the summer of 2020, general participants will be required to purchase a wristband instead of an admission ticket. This is due to the fact that the one-day extension of the event has resulted in significantly higher operating costs than in the past.

Because of these changes, this year's Comic Market has been the talk of the town, including on social networking services, and the number of visitors is a clear indication of this. Comic Market 95, held from December 29 to 31 last winter, attracted a total of 570,000 visitors over the three days. The number of participating circles was approximately 35,000, and 165 companies exhibited. Some were concerned that the first four-day event would result in a decrease in the number of visitors per day, but the first day attracted 160,000 visitors, on par with last summer's Comic Market 94. The cosplay area was also a big success, with cosplayers dressed as a variety of characters.

The weather was over 30 degrees Celsius from morning to night, and the cosplayers posed one after another while sweating. Here we introduce some of the beautiful female cosplayers who defied the intense heat and graced the venue with their beautiful cosplay.
