Details of the "Mobile Police PATLABOR 30th Anniversary Exhibition" in Nagoya are revealed! Setting materials, original drawings, art boards, dioramas, etc. will be exhibited.

The "Mobile Police Patlabor 30th Anniversary Commemorative Exhibition - 30th HEADGEAR EXHIBITION - [OVA-Geki Pato 1 Exhibition] Nagoya" will be held at Nagoya PARCO from February 7 to 24, 2020. Details of the event's exhibition have been announced.

The first "Mobile Police Patlabor" OVA series began in April 1988, followed by the popular "Mobile Police Patlabor" series, which has been developed in a variety of media, including animated films, TV series, a new OVA series, manga, novels, games, and live-action films.


Exhibitions commemorating the work's 30th anniversary were held sequentially at Osaka Nanko ATC, Tokyo Yurakucho Marui, and Tokyo Ikebukuro Marui starting in August 2019, attracting many fans.

*The ACT.2 exhibition at Ikebukuro Marui will run until February 2, 2020.

The exhibition to be held in Nagoya will be based on the "30th Anniversary Exhibition" held in Osaka and Tokyo, with some rearrangements.

Exhibits Introduction

The contents of the Nagoya exhibition have been released and are introduced below.


Akemi Takada's original drawing of the new main visual for the 30th anniversary commemorative exhibition will be exhibited (first time in Nagoya).


A pencil rough drawing of a new illustration currently being created by illustrator Yukio Tachibanada will be exhibited (Nagoya exhibition debut).


Shunji Murata, the illustrator who created the original artwork and animation for the opening scene of the first theatrical version of the film, exhibited his setting (Nagoya exhibition premiere).


OVA (EARLY DAYS) pre-production (preparation stage), OVA period setting materials, rough sketches and jacket illustrations from the production process (same as the Tokyo exhibition)


Materials from the production process, original drawings, backgrounds (reproductions), art boards (reproductions), etc., will be exhibited (same as the contents of the Tokyo exhibition).


The exhibition includes jacket illustrations from OVA (Early Days) to "Patlabor the Movie" (1989), illustrations published in magazines, cover illustrations and illustrations drawn by Kazunori Ito for "Mobile Police Patlabor" novelization "Wind Speed 40m", and illustrations drawn for the 30th anniversary commemorative exhibition (same as the Tokyo exhibition). OVA (EARLY DAYS) to "PATLABOR THE MOVIE" (1989) MOOK book cover illustrations, promotional illustrations, OVA jacket illustrations and rough sketches will be exhibited (same as the Tokyo exhibition).


Three-dimensional sculptures (full-scale revolver cannon, Section 2 uniform, headgear, cockpit, diorama, etc.) created by sculptor Eiki Kawabata will be on display (same as those in the Tokyo exhibition).


A diorama of the Ark by professional modeler Mitsutoshi Shinbo will be on display (same as the Tokyo exhibition).

In addition, a talk event will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at a nearby facility. Voice actor Michihiro Ikemizu, who plays the role of Officer Ota in the film, will take the stage.

The event will be held twice in the afternoon on Saturday, February 15, 2020, with an estimated attendance of 150-180 people per event.
