To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the adult-oriented special effects series "GARO" in 2020, a completely new TV series "GARO -VERSUS ROAD-" will be broadcast from April 2020 on TOKYO MX, BS Nichtele and other stations.

GARO" is a special effects series that depicts the battle between "horrors," demonic beasts that eat people's "yinga," and the "demonic knights" who defeat them, and the golden knight who has received the title of "GARO," the highest rank of demonic knight. As a science fiction and horror action drama with a dark and unique worldview, the series gained a devoted fan base despite being broadcast in the late-night slot.

In addition to the TV series, the series has spawned numerous derivative works, including film versions, special dramas, spin-offs, and animated works, and has gained popularity.

The latest work in the series, "GARO -VERSUS ROAD-," which will be broadcast this time, is a completely new original story with a completely different worldview from the past series.

Young men who are leading their daily lives in peace suddenly receive mysterious VR glasses; upon putting on the VR glasses, a huge game field appears, where a large number of players have gathered. Winning a play in the game brings good luck in the real world, and the players become absorbed in the game. ...... is the story of the game.

Staff and cast information was also released at the same time. The film will be directed by Shinya Ayabe, Jiro Nagae, and Katsura Taguchi, and action directed by Tsuyoshi Obara.

The role of Sena Kusudo, a college student who spends his days without any inconvenience, will be played by Koya Matsudai, who appeared in "Cliff Hotel" and "Follow Me", and the role of Ryosuke Amou, a lone wolf bartender, will be played by Yusho from "BOYS AND MEN", who will be going on an arena tour in 2020. The role of Taisuke Nagumo, a distributor, will be played by Tokito, who appeared in "Werewolf Game Inferno," and the role of Takane Kouzuki, an apparel store clerk, will be played by Toman, who appeared in "Twelve Dying Children.

In addition, Naoya Shimizu plays Soraton's best friend, Shori Hoshiai, and Hidetaro Kadoshita plays Kanata Dai, the leader of the semi-greedy group that repeatedly fights with Amou.
