Production I.G's original TV anime "Kabukicho Sherlock" was released on August 10, 2018 as "Kabukicho no Yatsu (tentative)". The director is Ai Yoshimura, a director who carefully depicts everything from comedies to delicate love stories.
Taku Kishimoto and Toshiyuki Yahagi, who created the detailed and profound world of "Joker Game," are in charge of series composition and character design for this work as well. The animation production is by Production I.G, which has not produced an original TV animation since 2014.

A man visits the bar "Pipe Cat" in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Dist. He is a doctor named John H. Watson, who came to request a case because he heard that Sherlock Holmes is a good detective. There are other detectives gathered at the "Pipe Cat," and Inspector Lestrade begins to explain the request. A serial killer, commonly known as "Jack the Ripper," has just committed a crime, and the detective who catches him will receive a reward of 10 million yen. The first one to catch the killer gets 10 million yen! The race to find the murderer is about to begin.

<Introduction
Shinjuku Dist. East Side ・・・・・・ In the center of the chaotic city, Kabukicho spreads out in twinkling neon lights.
Where the light is strong, the shadows are thick. In the darkest recesses where the bad guys lurk, the lights of a detective's tenement house light up.
The tenement run by Mrs. Hudson is full of crooks with seven different habits. There is an ambitious detective, a sister detective who bewitches men, and a detective-typical maniac.
There is also a detective who is an old man who is not a detective, and a detective Anchan who has been excommunicated from the yakuza. ・・・・・・
And the star of the show is Sherlock Holmes, a genius detective who loves rakugo (comic storytelling).
On the night of the bizarre murder of Jack the Ripper, the curtain rises on the stage.
