The number of pre-registrations for "Pokémon Masters," a new game for iOS and Android that DeNA Inc. and Pokémon Inc. plan to release in the summer of 2019, has exceeded 5 million worldwide on both the App Store and Google Play.

Set on the man-made island of Pacio, this game tells the story of a Pokémon and its trainer duo called "Buddies," in which the main character meets various Buddies and joins them to become the champion of the World Pokémon Masters (WPM) tournament held in Pacio.

The number of pre-registrations for "Pokémon Masters," a new game for smartphones scheduled for distribution in the summer of 2019, has exceeded 5 million worldwide on both the App Store and Google Play.

Pre-registrations are still being accepted on the App Store and Google Play.
