The TV animation "Haxon Daimao 2020" will be broadcast on April 11, 2020 (Saturday) at 5:30 p.m. on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television Network Corporation.

This is the first new work in 50 years of the TV animation "Haxon Daimao" that began broadcasting in 1969. Inspired by the fairy tale "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp," it is the first Japanese-made Aladdin. The gag animation that has brought laughter to Japanese households is back with a new work set in modern-day Tokyo.

The main character in this work is "Akubi," the daughter of Hakujon Daimaou. Akubi comes to "Yodayama Kantaro," the grandson of Haxon Daimaou's master, Kanchan, to train to fulfill her dream of becoming queen. While training, Akubi struggles to find Kantaro's dream.

The film is directed by Atsushi Nigorikawa, who also directed "Boku no Tonari Neighbor to the Dark God of Destruction. Atsushi Nigorigawa, who directed "Boku no Tonari Neighbor to Ankoku Kaijigami no Aru", Hiroko Kanasugi, who wrote the script for the "Jewelpet" series, is in charge of the series composition, and Hiroko Kanasugi, who designed the original characters for the spin-off "Yobite tobi De De! Suzuka Yoshida, who was in charge of the original character design for "Akubi-chan," a spin-off work featuring Akubi-chan, will be in charge of character design, and Tatsunoko Productions, which produced "Haxon Daimaou" (1969), will be in charge of animation production.
