The sequel to the stage "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" will be performed in July 2020! Yuichi Nakamura will play the role of Mr. Bushido, played by Yuichi Nakamura!

Sunrise and Sotsu announced that the sequel to the stage "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (Double O)," which was performed in February 2019, will be staged at the New National Theatre this summer from July 17 (Friday) to 26 (Sunday), 2020.

The stage production is based on the TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," which was broadcast in 2007. It was a big hit for its realistic worldview, which is set 300 years after the real world, and for its story depicting detailed human relationships.

The stage "Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - Rebirth through Destruction - Re: Build," which was performed in February 2019, gained popularity thanks to a story incorporating original stage elements and cast performances that made the anime characters seem as if they appeared in real life.

The sequel, "Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Awakening through Destruction - Re:(in)novation," will be performed this summer. The play will be written and directed by Fumiya Matsuzaki, following the previous production.

The cast includes Shohei Hashimoto as Setsuna F. Sayei, who will continue to play the role, Yu Imari as Lockon Stratos, Taiyo Ayukawa as Aleriya Haptism, and Seiichiro Nagata as Thierria Arde. New cast members include Yuki Maekawa as Saji Crossroads, Ayakiho Honishi as Luis Halevy, Yuichi Nakamura as Mr. Bushido, and Hirohiro Miyagi as Patrick Khorasour. Incidentally, Yuichi Nakamura's portrayal of Mr. Boussidou has attracted attention because of the voice actor Yuichi Nakamura's portrayal in the anime version.
