Digimon Adventure 20th Anniversary Memorial Story Project starts on Thursday, August 22!

Toei Animation and Parco have announced the launch of the "DIGIMON ADVENTURE 20th Anniversary Memorial Story Project" on the crowdfunding site BOOSTER on Thursday, August 22.

In this project, as a return (privilege) for those who participate, you will receive a regular mail magazine, a Blu-ray of "Digimon Adventure 20th Memorial Story," and an original partner Digimon designed by Kenji Watanabe, a Digimon character designer, and created based on your original design. You will also receive a plushie created based on the design, a limited-edition figure reproduced from an illustration of Angelmon by Katsusho Nakatsuru, character designer for the anime "Digimon Adventure", and a "Digimon Adventure 20th Memorial Story" Blu-ray, as well as a Digimon Character Designer Kenji Watanabe's original Digimon partner Digimon. Digimon Adventure 20th Memorial Story

Digimon 20th Memorial Story is a prequel and side story to the new theatrical version of "Digimon Adventure LAST EVOLUTION: Kizuna" and other special stories depicting images that could not be depicted in the main theatrical version and the daily lives of the Digimon and their friends who have grown up, as 5 short animated films. The voice actors, as well as Seki's first PSP, are scheduled to be produced.
We will also produce 5 short animated films featuring images that could not be depicted in the main theatrical version, and special stories about the daily lives of the Digimon and their friends who have grown up. We believe that by watching these films, you will get a deeper appreciation of the theater version of "Digimon Adventure," which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The memorial story will also be screened at the character goods store "LB POP-UP THEATER" which will open on the 6th floor of Shibuya PARCO (opening November 22, 2019). (Only one episode will also be available on the web.)

Producer's Message

What can we do to make the 20th anniversary more exciting together? I believe that this project is one of the opportunities for us to get excited together. We are thinking of things that are impossible to do in our usual animation production, but I wondered if it would be impossible for the cast, the onsite staff, and the senior members of the production team to do so. But when I asked them about it, to my surprise, they all readily agreed.
It was an amazing thing. This is all because everyone loves Digimon. They want to say thank you to the "children" who have walked with us for the past 20 years.
It is usually a little scary to do something you have never done before. However, I soon realized that with Digimon, I could do it with everyone. I believe that "Digimon Adventure" has grown together with the fans. We would be very happy if you would grow this project with us.

In commemoration of this project, Digimon character designer Kenji Watanabe and Katsusho Nakatsuru, character designer for the anime "Digimon Adventure," will participate in this special lineup, which is unprecedented to date.
