New TV anime "Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle", broadcast information details & theme song information released!

Sega Games has released broadcast details and theme song information for the new TV anime "Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle," based on the popular online RPG "Phantasy Star Online 2" (PSO2).

PSO2" is a free-to-play online RPG developed and operated by Sega Games, the latest title in the "PSO" series, which laid the foundation for online RPGs, and its legitimate successor. PlayStation(R) Vita version in February 2013, and PlayStation(R) 4 version for home consoles in April 2016. Then, in April 2018, the "PSO2 Cloud" service was launched on Nintendo Switch as a cloud game that can be played without downloading large amounts of game data, and the number of registered IDs of players in Japan exceeded 5 million IDs. (As of April 2018) An anime is scheduled to air in 2019.

Players become a member of the "Arks," a survey team belonging to the interplanetary navigation fleet "Oracle," and head out to investigate various planets. The game features automatically generated maps, spontaneous events, and multi-party areas that can be played by up to 12 players simultaneously, allowing players to enjoy adventures full of surprises with a constant fresh feeling. Each planet is also home to protozoa, mechanics, and space life forms called Darkers, which appear as enemies. The action, which is the key to the game, allows players to enjoy exhilarating battles with simple controls and highly strategic and customizable actions. Players can also create their own alter egos using the advanced Character Creation feature. With simple and intuitive operations, anyone can create a unique and distinctive character that is one-of-a-kind in this world.

The new TV anime "Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle," based on the original "PSO2" game, will begin airing on October 7, 2019 (Monday) with a total of 25 episodes.
It will air on TOKYO MX every Monday from 22:30 and on BS11 every Monday from 23:30, so be sure to check it out.

The opening theme song "Destiny" will be sung by Amy Blackschlager, and the ending theme song "Timeless Fortune" will be sung by Mika Arisaka.
Destiny" was written by Runblebee, the creator of many famous "PSO2" songs, and composed by Hidetoshi Kobayashi, sound director of the "PSO2" sound team, a lineup that emphasizes the unique world view of "PSO2.
A CD containing the two theme songs will also be released. An item code will be included as a bonus. More details will be announced at a later date, so please stay tuned for more information.
