1. Challenge Pokémon Trainers around the world in "Battle Stadium

In "Battle Stadium" of "Pokémon Sword Shield," you can enjoy Pokémon battles with trainers around the world by connecting to the Internet. You can also connect with many Pokémon Trainers through the "Rental Team" and "Internet Tournament" functions.
A subscription to Nintendo Switch Online (paid) is required to use Battle Stadium. You do not need to subscribe to the Pokémon Global Link.

1.1 Ranked Battle

In Ranked Battles, you compete with Pokémon Trainers around the world to become the strongest Pokémon Trainer. In Ranked Battles, there are ranks that indicate the strength of Trainers, and the ranks change according to the results of battles. Since battles are fought against trainers of similar ranks, players can enjoy heated battles.

The player earns points according to the result of the battle. Ranks are raised by accumulating a certain number of points.

Dymax is also very active in ranked battles. You can get "tools" by meeting conditions such as fighting consecutively.

In Ranked Battles, ranks are determined for each rank. In the highest rank, fierce ranking battles unfold as you aim to become the world's best Pokémon Trainer.

In Ranked Battles, you can check your rank in the Battle Stadium, and in the smartphone version of Pokémon HOME, you can check the rankings of the entire tournament, including other players, as well as the rankings of the Pokémon being used. Note that in Ranked Battles, each season ends with a certain amount of downgrading, and a new season begins.

1.2 Casual Battle

In Casual Battle, you can enjoy Pokémon battles without worrying about winning or losing. One of the main features of Casual Battles is that you can use some Legendary Pokémon and Phantom Pokémon, which are not available in Ranked Battles, in your battles.

■About the Battle Rules

There are two types of battle rules in "Pokémon Sword Shield": Single Battle and Double Battle. You can also choose between these two types of battle rules for Ranked Battles and Casual Battles.

1.3 Internet Tournaments

In Internet tournaments, you can enter official tournaments and competitions with your friends. Official tournaments are special tournaments where players compete for rankings according to various rules. Some of these tournaments lead to entry into the "Pokémon Sword Shield" World Championships if you place high enough. In the "Fellowship Tournament," you can participate in tournaments held by other players, or you can organize your own tournament as an organizer.

■Battle with various Pokémon using rental teams!
Rental Team is a feature that allows you to easily rent a battle team by entering an ID that is publicly available on the Internet. Rented Battle Teams can be used in various battles. You can also publish your own Battle Teams and share them with Pokémon Trainers around the world.

Up to five teams can be rented at the same time. You can also challenge Ranked Battles with your rental team.

2. Various new elements to enhance Pokémon battles

2.1 Dymax and Dymaxing Pokémon not only make your Pokémon huge, but also increase some of their abilities, which greatly affects the outcome of Pokémon battles. Another important feature of the Dymax move, which only Dymaxed Pokémon can use, is that it is not only highly powerful, but also has a powerful additional effect.

The water-type DYMAX move "DYSTREAM" has the effect of turning the weather into a "rain" condition.

The DYNACLE attack, a DYMAX attack for the Kakuto type, has the additional effect of increasing the attack of all allies.

Even if you use a move such as "Mamoru", the attack of a Dymax move cannot be blocked, so it will take damage.

The change move used by a Pokémon that has been Dymaxed is "Die Wall," which can also block Dymax moves.

Dymax and Pokémon's Accessories

In "Pokémon Sword Shield", any Pokémon can Dymax if the main character has a Dymax Band. Since there is no need to have special Pokémon accessories, you can select Pokémon to be Dimaxed depending on the game situation, and you can use accessories that increase attack power to further strengthen the power of powerful Dimax moves.

2.2 New Characteristics in "Pokémon Sword Shield

There are newly discovered characteristics in this work. One of them is "Kakugaku hekka gas," a characteristic possessed by Matadogus (in the form of Galal). This characteristic not only removes the effect of the surrounding Pokémon's characteristics, but also prevents new characteristics from being activated.

Pokémon with "Scientific Gas," such as Matadogus (Garal form), fill the area around them with it when they go into battle.

When the Pokémon with GHG disappears, other Pokémon's characteristics are activated.

2.3 New tools "Room Service" and "escape packs

New equipment will appear in this title to expand the range of Pokémon battle tactics. Some of them, such as "Room Service" and "escape packs," can be used in combination with certain techniques to gain an advantage in battle.

Room Service

Room Service" is a trick that, when used on a Pokémon, lowers the Pokémon's Quickness when it successfully Trick Rooms.

Debride Pack

When a Pokémon's ability is lowered, the escape pack will replace the Pokémon with the Pokémon in your possession.
