Macho Aname? The overwhelmingly beautiful "muscle cosplay" I encountered at Comic Market 96! Cosplayers' Photos - Part 2 [2019/8/9-12

Comic Market 96 (C96), the world's largest coterie magazine exhibition, closed on August 12, 2019. As the event was held for four days for the first time, the total number of visitors reached a record high of 730,000.

The temperatures were over 30 degrees Celsius every day in mid-summer, but while cosplayers in various costumes participated in the cosplay area, "muscle cosplay," which exposes the beauty of one's body, has become a bit of a boom in recent years.

Muscle cosplay" is a form of cosplay that combines the muscles of a person who has worked out with a costume that allows the person to show them off. The cosplayers do not wear revealing costumes in order to show off their muscles, but rather, they make an effort to recreate a muscular character, and as a result, their physical beauty is also revealed at the same time.

At this year's Comiket, Billy, a member of the muscle cosplay team "Bodily Formation Club," and Kota Kobayashi, a lawyer who appears in "Minna de Muscle Exercise" (NHK), took part in the event. In particular, Mr. Kobayashi, who reported that he would be attending the "Comic Market" cosplaying as Retsukaiou, a character from Keisuke Itagaki's original manga series "Grappler Baki," was the talk of the town, especially on the Internet, even before the event.
