The latest official spin-off of "Shield no Yusha no Yusha no Oshinagaki" (The Rise of the Shield's Hero), a TV anime that aired until June 2019, began serialization today, August 21, on the free web comic site "Comic Walker".

The "Rise of the Shield Hero" was first published on the novel submission site "Shosetsu-kaerou" (Novelist's Letter), and was published in book form by MF Books (KADOKAWA) in 2013. It is a popular light novel by Aneko Yusagi, currently in its 20th volume.
Iwatani Naofumi is an otaku college student who is summoned to another world as one of the heroes. He sets out on a journey of training to protect the world, but is betrayed by his friends within a few days. This is a fantasy about a man who loses everything, including his money and position, and rises to the top.
The animation production staff includes Takao Abo as director, Keigo Koyanagi as series composition, Masahiro Suwa as character design and chief animation director, Hiroki Gobun as sound director, and Kevin Penkin as music. Animation production will be handled by Kinema Citrus.
