Pokémon Sword Shield" web-anime "Wings of Twilight," episode 2 to be released on 2/18 (Tue.) at 10 p.m. & cast announced!

The second episode of the "Wings of Dim Light" anime series will be released on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. Some of the characters and voice actors who will appear in the series have also been announced.

The anime "Wings of Twilight" is a new anime set in the world of "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" (compatible Nintendo Switch), the latest in the series released on November 15, 2019 (Friday). An ensemble drama featuring many characters from the games, the first episode was released on YouTube on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, and is being sequentially released in seven episodes.

The animation is produced by Studio Colorido, which specializes in warm and friendly visuals and dynamic visual effects, including the animated film "Penguin Highway. One of Japan's leading animation studios has created an animation based on the visuals of "Pokémon Sword Shield," which has evolved with the Nintendo Switch. The story is also carefully crafted to be an entertaining work that can be enjoyed even by those unfamiliar with the game.

The characters and some of the voice actors who will appear in the series have also been announced. The main characters in the series, which will feature a different main character each time, are listed below, so be sure to check them out.

Dande (CV: Takahiro Sakurai)

He is the current champion of the Garal region and is undefeated in official Pokemon battles.
He is the strongest Pokémon trainer in the Garal region, both in name and reality.

Hop (CV: Yufuko Sanpei)

Dande's younger brother and a Pokémon Trainer.
Together with his partner, Wooloo, he aims to become the strongest champion like his older brother, whom he admires.

Sonia (CV: Lynn)

Dande's childhood friend. She is a young researcher who works as an assistant to her grandmother, Dr. Magnolia.
She used to be a Pokémon trainer and has been best friends with Lulina since then.

Yarrow (CV: Tarusuke Aragaki)

One of the gym leaders. He has a kind-hearted personality and is loved by the Gym Trainers.
With the motto, "Enjoy the battle," he develops tenacious battles, mainly with Kusu-type Pokémon.

Lulina (CV: Amemiya Ten)

She is a gym leader and also works as a model.
She has a strong competitive spirit, and although her tone is gentle at first glance, she has a hidden fighting spirit. He is a water-type Pokémon user.

Saito (CV: Eri Kitamura)

A master of the 100-year-old Garal Karate system, Saito is a Kakuto-type Pokémon user.
He has a very stoic personality and rarely shows his emotions. He is unflappable in a pinch, and is unmoved by the precision of his battles.

Onion (CV: Ryo Hirohashi)
